Lobbyists and special interests are what drive nearly all politics in DC and it's only gotten worse over time. Biden is the President and has immense power but his advisors will use agendas and talking points created by K Street firms. These lobbyists are also targeting both sides of the aisle with funding and pre-written legislation meant to give their clients preferential treatment and benefits.
