Looks like a chin inlet. E92M3 appears to be right.

not unexpected since lockheed and a Russian company basically designed the f35 concept together with preexisting Russian vtol technology, forgot that planes name but the f35 looks a lot like it from what i remember.

Only the lift fan was taken from the Yak-141. The only design work done with them was working out the lift fan. The Yak-141 and F-35 don't look much alike beyond the lift fan.



As for this design, I've said it for years, form follows function. There are only so many ways to build aircraft.

Internal missile bays are very forward in the chines.

I think they nailed it, just gotta take one look and you know it's a Russian bird!
