I just tried to get onto reddit, got this...

"Fastly error: unknown domain: www.reddit.com."

Same with imgur, stackexchnage and a few other sites that are mention on Down for Everyone or Just Me.

strange? are they connected to the same underlying service? Has there been a concerted attack somewhere? Reddit would seem to come back, but broken. looking at the Down for Everyone or Just Me site, it seems it's been just within the past hour?

Anyone else having issues, I know reddit and imgure are closely tied.

weirdness this day...

Reddit is down for me too, 503 error.

I'm really sad, my entire fan club is located on the cesspool of a site.

Cloud computing platform Fastly is down, lots of big name sites use their hardware. UK's .gov.uk and nhs is offline too, seems like saving money on localised server infrastructure has its disadvantages.

I check several news sites each morning. Fox, NBC and MSNBC are fine, ABC news is ok too, but CNN and CBS are down.

I am waiting for reports on my mycelium growing, and it's the best place for honest opinions.

Wish I had a fan club, though.

Ahh that explains it. Got a bit concerned there might be more to it, when I noticed so many others sites with the same error.

Reddit seems back up now anyway, I should have postponed my concern
all's well that ends well. Not a global takedown afterall!!

You don't want the kind of fan club I have.

Massive internet outage hits websites including Amazon, gov.uk and Guardian

The outage has been traced to a failure in a content delivery network (CDN) run by Fastly. It began around 11am UK time, and saw visitors to a vast array of sites receive error messages including, “Error 503 service unavailable” and a terse “connection failure”.
Others affected included publishers, CNN, the New York Times, and the Financial Times as well as the streaming services Twitch and Hulu.
As well as bringing down some websites entirely, the failure also broke specific sections of other services, such as the servers for Twitter that host the social network’s emojis.

I'm still waiting on them to make me a moderator over there. I told them I would do it, they asked me if I was still interested. I said sure, but apparently the mods that are already there don't visit anymore.

Is there anything to actually moderate over there? Seems pretty unmoderated to begin with.
