A Welshie Terrier. 20 pounds of unconditional love that gifted our family for 11 years.

His pancreas had a major failure. In the space of 48 hours he went from beautiful companion to very sick pupper.

He was never in pain and went peacfully.

I've cried more for this dog than I have for most people.

I'm so sorry! You will see him again though.
I truly believe that when we "Cross the Jordan", we will be reunited with our beloved pets who were called home before us.

Sorry for your loss. I lost one of my girls last year due to cancer and it is hard for those of us who have a heart and care about animals.

I have a Pug left and she’ll be the death of me when she goes. I love that Bitch.

His name was Bilbo, he came to us a young pup, brimming with youthful exuberance, from a shire nearby.

Eleven dutiful years, he served, loving and protecting your realm.

I am so sorry for your loss, but I am consoled by the fact he did not suffer.

And now his watch has ended.

Sincerely,
~joe

My condolences. I lost my friend about two years ago. It was the hardest things I have ever had to go through. What helped me was knowing that he suffers no more. Hang in there my friend.

A sad day indeed. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but like ColeYounger said, I'm also convinced we will all be together again with our lost companions.

Remember that the love he gave you and your family is a reflection of the love you gave him. Most importantly, you were together at the end.

My wife and I were apart from our cocker spaniel when he passed and even after a decade, we still can't forgive ourselves.

Lost my K9 companion as well this year, feel your pain, sorry for your loss. You're right, they become more important than most people in our lives.

It's never easy when the furry folks in our family go. I've lost too many over the years, and I keep setting myself up to go through it all over again.

I can't say I know your pain, but I sympathize with it. It leaves a huge hole when they go that can't ever quite be filled by any other furry folks.

I am so very sorry for your loss, DBC!
How tragic to go that fast, and I am glad he didn't suffer.

When we lost our 6 year old Emily to illness, we both cried a lot.
It took me months to heal.
Dogs are better than most people.....no argument from me on that.

I am so sorry for the loss of a family member. Because the furry little ones just are. I've been through it too, and still cry just thinking of them. But when I'm down sometimes, I will think of the fun and funny things that's happened while we were together. Thinking about each and every one of their personalities.

They are forgiving and loving.
That's why you are hurt, and give less exemptions to your human counterparts. Not that you don't care for others, but our pets are our children. You would do anything for your child and fur baby. This makes you the bestest human in their eyes.

Hope for better and uplifting times for you and your family.

And you will.

I think God gave us dogs to remind us what unconditional love is.
