That Bad Dream Feeling

hello ATS, i had a heckin' bad dream last night and i still have the whim-wham heebie jeebies

what do YOU do to shake off that bad dream feeling?

Ask myself:

"Has a bad dream ever been a true premonition? Has anything from a bad dream ever turned to reality?"

For me, the answers always no!

For my wife though...god forbid the day I cheat on her in her dreams again. That's one of the purest forms of rage and anger.

ha... yeah it's funny that way. sometimes i can have a dream-fight with my sister and wake up mad at her and be mad for a while even though i know it didn't happen.

but i've never had a prophetic dream or any kind of precog thing. i just still have a bad feeling because the dream was that vivid and that horrifying. and maybe i do have a little (i feel) illogical worry about it was precog anyway even though i don't really believe it, lol.

Yeah...that's a bad one.

I had one dream where I saw our puppy killed in front of me by a shadowy figure...and I was also powerless to stop it.
Worst nightmare ever.

Extended story...

Wife and I were travelling in Florida and stayed in a very old motel when this dream occurred.

I got up after the dream in the middle of the night and went into the bathroom...and went back to bed...hoping the dream would not resume.

It did not.

Next morning my wife said I was tossing and turning...and she, too had nightmares.

She said I woke her when I went to the bathroom...and she saw a large shadowy figure follow me down the hall and hover by the bathroom door until I returned to bed.

Next day, I asked the guy at the desk if the place was haunted and he said plenty of guests have claimed so.
He also said there was a small gathering of witches staying at the motel because they knew it's history as well...and gather there at certain times.

Turned out their room was just above ours.

well that's creepy af

i don't usually have nightmares. or i do, but they're very adventuresome and they don't scare me even if i'm fighting zombies and monsters and etc. i only have really creepy unsettling dreams if i'm reading too many horror manga and manhwa... but this was something else altogether.

didn't see any shadow beings when i woke up though, that's a relief.

Point being...to get over the anxiety from it...analyze your dream and attempt to understand it's meaning or it's cause...be it bad supernatural mojo...or subconscious fears.
