I've had the first shot of the Moderna vaccine, with the only side effect being a mild rash that's almost gone now. No pain in the arm. No lymph nodes are swollen. No fever. I get the second in a few days.

I work from home, partly due to me being disabled and in bad physical shape, so it was a no-brainer for me. I'd be a fool not to have gotten it. I talk to a lot of people on the phone every day for work. Business owners mostly, many of whom are over 65. Lots of them have had the shots and only one lady who is 83 has said they had a side effect. She had a fever for half a day. The rest have all had the same experience I've had so far. No side effects to speak of.

I have been told that my reaction to the flu vaccine meant I have good immunity to the flu virus. My body identifies it and fights it properly as long as remnants are not introduced into my body directly. If the flu virus entered through a wound, I would probably have a severe reaction too according to the doctor. Meanwhile, the only time I had a serious flu was when I was a kid or when I was on a medicine that disrupted my immune system. I might get a day or two of mild symptoms but fend off the flu without hardly any problems. Not with the vaccine though, my immune system thinks I am under a major attack. The medical industry keeps saying that the virus in the vaccine is not alive...technically, viruses are not supposed to ever be alive. They aren't lying even if there is a mistake with an active culture.

If I had not read that people who have reactions like I do should not take it, I would have considered trying it in maybe six months. Not now though, I hate that really bad storm BS I get, that is the sickest I have ever been in my life. I am not one of those people who loves being tortured.

Measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, polio, malaria....just a few

Cliff notes of me. I’m a COVID long hauler, and that kicked in chronic fatigue syndrome and Epstein Barr. Currently in occupational neurological PT for balance and constant dizziness (wavy not spinning). So yes, my immune system is kinda messed up. I was pretty healthy prior to this. And we were able to rule out lots of other this with various specialists.

The reason I stated that, is because I was talking to my primary doctor about the vaccines. I told him I am not sure about getting one, and to buy time, telling people I am waiting for the J &J shot. I also told him that I knew he would say get one, but the questions I have are the following.

Can my immune system tolerate this?
Does the risk out way the benefit?
Is there any chance of this harming my kidney? (I only have one and my numbers have been a bit wonky since I became sick a year ago)

He did say the J&J shot, would be better for me, and immune system should I choose to get it, and would have to wait a lot longer for it. And they have had longer to test, and collect data from.

Honestly, I’m not sure what I will do, but just passing on information, from a doctor I trust dearly, and has been with me on this bizarre journey I’ve been on.

IMO, this truly is an individual choice, and one to make, after weighing in on all of the pros and cons. Educate yourself and make the best choice for you.

I would try to explain this to you but it all begins with The Great Virus Lie.....and ends with Evil Moneymongering People trying to kill you.....only a small number of people can discuss the truth and topic adequately.....about .025 of our Population is in the Know.

For now I say enjoy your ignorance because if you knew the truth you would want to fight...and there is no Army to join...so its a dam lonely road.

Get an antibody test before you get the jab at least.
I got the results of mine and I am fully loaded with antibodies against C19, and I suspect I had several low VL in the first 3 months of last year, and here I am 12 months later
Also I have EBV from Glandular Fever in University, some 40 years ago. I was warned then that I could have 'flare ups'. I never have. However while in lockdown and since last summer I have had what I now consider to be EBV flare ups but not massive, just the odd thing for a couple of days.
Now this has led me to think a little 'outside the box' and consider the possibility if in fact the EBV gets triggered because it is fighting off the C19 and not the C19 triggering EBV. I'm basing this on certain viruses chew up cancer cells for example.

I would really suggest you get an antibody test before you take the vaccine which puts your immune system into overdrive constantly.

1 month after 2nd Phfizer vac...I'm great.

But I'm waiting to grow an extra arm...or horn...

If the jab made your horn bigger, every guy on the planet would want to get it.

uh uh. Not this guy on the Aus. side of the planet !

the extra arm seems more interesting to me is all......
