And thank you for a clear and reasoned post.

My whole point which i have completely missed is that symbology, the stage or platform, is a twisted version of the original rune itself.

Heritage, ancestry, is something to be proud of. There is meaning, depth.

The modern use of this rune in particular, maligned as it is, represents something.

My personal opinion or belief is baseless compared to the intended design.

Sure, it may just be coincidental, meaningless to some. Yet to me, there was clear design, purposeful intent.

I dispute the stage being specifically designed to replicate a nazi symbol.

It's absurd.

Nazism was a little absurd too - until it wasn't

All rise:

Clear the streets for the brown battalions,
Clear the streets for the storm division!
𝄆 Millions are looking upon the swastika full of hope,
The day of freedom and of bread dawns!

Horst-Wessel-Lied

All because swastikas these days are a little too on the nose - don't you think?

As many conventions, show-caes, events that I've attended in my long and aged life. . . I've never been to any event where we or anyone else, would have to provide our own stage or construct it.

It was always provided for by the agency hosting it.

So I guess the OP is actually saying that the Hyatt is nazi?

Someone designed, and approved the design of the stage.

Can you demonstate that the hotel did so?

I find that unlikely, but i suppose it is possible.

Because surely CPAC didnt knowingly do so, why would they?

who would?

The stage was designed by Maryland based company called Design Foundry. There were multiple designs presented but this is the one that was chosen by CPAC. Apparently after a few changes, requested by CPAC, were made.

I think you have opened up Pandora's box here. We need to find out who designed this stage and kill that person, in public, with malice.

so did Design Foundry intentionally make NAZI looking stages, or was there a democratic plant who snuck this imagery by them, so they could spring this big "gatcha" moment on those stupid republicans?

this is sounding like a trick by Democrats to use against their opposition. We need a list of all who work for that company, their hire dates and who they voted for. A FULL investigation is needed here. NO STONE LEFT UNTURNED!!!!

what do you suggest? Just point it out and wait for the wolves to do the dirty work? this is outrageous. Someone needs to be punished here. Anyone. just give us a sacrifice!

You are a bit hyberbolic.

I am just pointing out the symbolism.

And i thought it was funny that rebubs were all for Hyatt calling out cancel culture because people didnt like they hosted the event in the first place.

I dont know, why is it always democrats hating on jobs? Im a socialist commie myself. With a tinge of satanist.

From your source. .

The design company behind the stage at CPAC said they had 'no idea' it resembled Nazi insignia
