I've been here a long time. Love ATS. Don't post as much because of other interests in life. A big part of who I am came from the old 9/11 stuff and epic threads on things like UFOs and philosophy/religion and "All Roads Lead To Rome'.
I disagree with a lot of stuff here. Hell a few times, I'll even get offended by things posted here. Certainly frustrated with the evolution to a lot of Trump echo chamber stuff.

But if I don't like it, I close the thread. Move on. Find something else to do.
If I don't like things people say to me in real life, I avoid having conversations with those people.
NOT LOOK TO HAVE THEM MUZZLED. I can't condone that. Won't support it.
Maybe I'm old school. But I'm a lefty, that's for damn sure.

This is just stupid. If you cannot see that the Democrat and Republican parties have both been hijacked at this point, by some group that is interested in the destruction of America (global elite, reptilians, Chinese, Russians, demons or whatever) then there is no helping you. It is obvious, to anyone thinking with an open mind, that the chess pieces are being positioned and we're being setup for a major checkmate. Everyone keeps saying that they cannot come for our guns and/or our free speech or there will be some magical revolution. They are literally isolating us with Covid lockdowns, blatantly stealing an election (IMO), and now cutting communications of anyone who opposes them. Soon, if not already, many will not even admit they are conservative or a patriot publicly for the fear of being accused of supporting systemic racism, being called uneducated, or retaliated against for just supporting a president.

There will be no way anyone could coordinate any type of revolution if they came four our rights. They will just nickel and dime us to death. My youth pastor once told me a great analogy when I was young. Even if you don't believe in God, this should still be a useful analogy for anyone. It is the way we're being attacked, it's the way abusive boyfriends/husbands manipulate and/or abuse their wives, or vice versa, it's they way a predator grooms someone.

"Satan doesn't throw boulders at you, that would be to obvious. But instead, he throws tiny little rocks at us which mostly go unnoticed. We say to ourselves, oh that's no big deal I can handle that one, or that little rock was harmless, I can stand my ground . Then one day, you look down and realize that you are standing in gravel up to your hips and can no longer move."

This is what I think they are doing. They will slowly remove us one by one until there is no way anyone could stand together and fight back. The writing is on the wall, there is a war and it was started a long time ago by whoever took over the political parties.

I have said it before in an old post. I think it's possible that Trump was actually working together with the "elite" to bring us down from the inside. Everything just feels like a WWF episode. Who knows, I hope I am wrong about all of this for the sake of my kids. I will just go on doing the best I can and being thankful for every day.

You're not a lefty then; you're a liberal. You may have left-leaning ideas, but at your base you still believe in the classical liberal ideals and values of the constitution.

You aren't a lone. There are more and more like you in this country who are starting to wake and realize how really poisonous the left has become. That doesn't make you right-wing although they might say otherwise; it just means you're still basically an American where they tend to think it's a notion that needs to be destroyed and utterly remade.

I don't know who you voted for, nor do I want to know - but I will say this... whilst the sentiment you outline is to be applauded, those that voted in this coming regime were, in fact, looking to have people of opposing views muzzled. It was not an agenda that was hidden.

Votes really do matter and say a lot more than words.

You were wrong about Covid - both in terms of the spread and death rate.
I do believe that the extent of the lockdowns has gone too far, however - so your concern that it would go further was a valid one.

As for the last comment, you sound like a radical leftist when you use words like 'helping usher in a dictatorship'. It's extremist language. Be careful how you internalise and hold onto things, it will not lead you to a good place.

I was cautiously behind the first two weeks, and it turns out I happen to live in a state where we're mostly being left alone, masks aside. So that early stop was all we had.

But if I'd dreamed that they'd ever go as far as they have, that they'd be allowed to go as far as they have. I wouldn't have allowed that much and that was only because there was so much we didn't know then.

I think most people looked to the elections as a remedy, and now that's done.

So we'll see if people start fighting back. Wednesday was a pathetic show for fighting. It was just the beginning of anger showing up. But if they keep putting on the pressure, I expect things will get a lot more intense and bad.
