Imagine I am British and don't come around here much anymore. That I've been busy and don't really keep up to date.

I've seen dozens of references to this and I know his son is apparently a bit shifty and has ties with China but why the panic?

What exactly do people think he's going to do?

A simple and real explanation would be preferable over some clever nicknames and hearsay with some vauge talk about sniffing kids heads.

The simple answer is that Biden and some Republicans will enact a continuation of policies that benefit large corporations at the expense of the little worker. Much of the manufacturing base in the US has shifted to China over the past 30 years due to their slave like labor practices. Trump tried to stop the exporting of these jobs and bring them back to the US.

In addition, the Chinese use access to their market as a way to steal intellectual property. Not only that, it is suspected the Chinese put backdoors and other surveillance tech in goods sold in the US.

This is the crux of the issue.

It is ironic because many of the people on the left who claim to care think nothing of their $1000 iphones being made with Chinese labor... but whatever.

I would say that from a financial viewpoint and also an ethical one that does make a bit of sense in some ways.

It was actively covered up by the mainstream media during the election. Biden's son has been under investigation for like two years now.

Nothing will come of it now though.... it will get swept under the rug. More likely, it will be used by the Democrat elite to keep Joe Biden "Agreeable" Do what we want as it would be a shame to see Hunter go away for 20 years.... so Biden will be controlled until they decide they want Kamala to take over. If Biden won't step down, you can bet Hunter's misdeeds will come front and center.

Because they’ve had hammered into their skulls that everything that isn’t Donald Trump or the GOP is communism.

You’d have to have a complete misunderstanding of what communism is to believe that. Or they know none of this is really communism, but they don’t care because it’s a word they can use to denigrate the left without having to put any thought behind it.

Most people here fall into the latter.

The Swamp is the fake two-party system in the US, and any time you hear any issue reduced to Left/Right ... you're watching the manipulations of the Deep State.

The man who handed over the laptop? He was branded a "hacker" in MSM sources even though he held the laptop legally as it was abandoned at his shop when the owner failed to retrieve it or pay for repairs.

Once his identity was uncovered, social media cancel culture took over and his life and business was destroyed. He was branded a dishonest businessman and hacker, bombarded with negative reviews saying as much, death threats to him and his family, etc.

He has sued the press outlet that originally called him a "hacker" and Twitter who used that as their excuse to block the story (hacked information when it was nothing of the sort) for defamation.

And if you read the NBC link you'll see that, even if this is Hunter's laptop, there is nothing to say Papa Joe benefitted from any of it and that, despite sitting on the laptop for a while, Giuliani has not brought forward any additional information, in fact it seems to have been swept under the rug.
