They are nearly ready for mass distribution. The vax is ready.

You think maybe they will find a problem with both of them at the last minute and disappoint the fearful masses?

Yes, it is highly likely. Specifically the issue of how frequently they need to be 'boosted' for the protection to remain viable.

At present, it looks like three months of coverage is expecting a bit much.

But I'm a cynic.

So people will have to take it every month or so?

Maybe it is extended release Soma.

Possibly. No-one really knows yet. That's the problem with the short duration of testing. Similarly, both were tested on adults so we don't know much about how this will work on children (or even if it is neccesary), either.

The new cold virus only kills a very small percentage of people that get it.

A bad vaccine could end up killing more than covid would.

That could be why some people are talking about testing it in other countries first.

While I expect adverse reactions similar with the flu vax, the real issues I see are that it won't be the magic fix advertised.

People will think, "I'm immunized" and will start doing stuff that spreads the virus faster.

We actually need to keep up what we have started doing (like hand washing & sanitizer) and isolating those who are symptomatic, and not get too 'cocky'.

Someone I know said they know someone that took the 1st vax that came out as a test subject.

The person said it knocked them on their butt for 2 days.

Do you think it is possible you might have to isolate for a few days after getting the vax?

I think it may depend on which vax you are given.

mRNA vaccines shouldn't really have too much of an effect, but they are there to trigger an immune response.

I also think the Moderna vaccine would have a bigger immune response because it carries a larger payload of mRNA. But that sort of thing will really only show with the rollout, so I'm guessing.

Glad I am not taking it.

Can't even be 'cocky' when you are 90%+ immune.
