That may or may not be true. I have no idea. But I'm pretty sure that when a computer repair shop owner contacts the FBI about a computer, it usually doesn't belong to the son of a former Senator, Vice President, and presidential candidate.

Other illegal activities that would raise alarms could be pics of stockpiles of guns, or mega quantities of drugs, or stacks of cash... all of which would also raise eyebrows, especially from the son of a presidential candidate.

I would also expect that if the FBI knew there was child porn on the computer, especially if the owner of the computer was in the pics, that the FBI would take possession of the computer immediately... not let it sit in the computer shop for months. Especially when the guy was trying to give it to them. Why wait months to get a warrant?

Which, of course, also makes one wonder about the FBI's motives and actions.

I would say this story has a 99% chance of being true.

I'd also say we have a 99% chance of never finding out.

I fear that's exactly what will happen.

The only explanation that would make sense is that "never Trumpers" were in charge.

As I understand it, Trump doesn't have many friends in the FBI as he is blamed for a slew of things including the loss of esteem the agency has had. I never thought very highly of the FBI to begin with, its much lower now.

On a side note, have you ever visited with an FBI agent? They come across as incredibly arrogant in my experience. I've had them come visit regarding security clearance investigations, and always felt like I was being seen as a peone to them.

That could very well be. It's a damn shame, if so, that politics and hurt feelz would get in the way of doing their jobs... especially if children are being victimized... but the FBI ain't what it used to be.

I have not personally, but I've heard the same from people who have. Not just the FBI either. The Feds seem to make a habit of being arrogant and overbearing. BLM, FWS, etc., have all managed to make themselves persona non grata in these parts.

if this actually exist it should be a law enforcement action. Rudy should not be releasing anything to the public. But they won't file charges because it is all BS. Pretty easy these days to fake videos. Software can make it hard to detect. but think back to all the fake and edited videos the Trump team has released to date. Everything they put out has been altered. Why would this be different.

Trump has promised to ask about Hunter's laptop at the debate Thursday night if the moderator doesn't ask. The only way I can see a possibility of Rudy having this child porn in his possession -- not turned over to the FBI -- is if the FBI threatened the computer shop guy with prosecution for possessing child porn, so he hired Rudy as his attorney, handing it over to Rudy as evidence, thus giving Rudy legal possession rights...

But Rudy has also said that computer shop guy gave copies to two other people. So they would be in possession of child porn as well. I don't see what legal defense they could offer though.

That, to me, is a total stretch and I would think it would violate all types of ethics regulations about evidence and client privilege.
