NBA Finals viewership down 68%

I chose to post this in political issues instead of sports because I believe it's more of a political topic than a sports topic.

With little competition on friday, there was a baseball game, the second game ratings of the NBA Finals dropped out of sight.

Keep in mind this is the Lakers, one of the most popular teams in the league.

In my opinion the knee taken to China and then all the BLM rhetoric has made people tune out.

My husband who played BBall in college and is a rabid BBall fan
hasn't watched a single game in full since they came back

He has some recorded on the DVR but hasn't touched them.
Normally, a game won't sit on the DVR for more than 24 hours.

But since the games have become so politicized he has become disgusted
and he has lost interest since he watches to see a game
not to be lectured at.

Football is even worse, he won't even record them now
since they have become one long political lecture by commentators
and players alike.

I'm going to say something here that will upset a lot of people
because it is horribly politically incorrect to even hint at:

NBA/NFL used to be nearly all white,
which people rightly complained about,
now they are nearly all black,
which subliminally says to white men,
this is not a game for you.

Just like it used to say to black people it was not a game for them,
when the players were mostly white.

The same with football.

With all the BLM talk at the NBA and NFL games,
they are accidentally subliminally saying these are
now games only for black people,
doubling down on the accidental message that only
black people can play the sport.

Just as horrid a message as the previous
mostly all white teams.

It's down my viewership because the Nuggets lost to the Lakers.

Who cares about the boring Lakers v Heat? And the bubble has its major disadvantages.
Lakers are usually the team everyone outside of LA proper loves to hate.

Pro sports in general are quickly becoming obsolete as they now transparently show their allegiance to nefarious puppet masters. The NBA started making it real obvious last year. Only a truly brainwashed reprobate mind could enjoy the game now. The NFL isn't much better.

The veil is slowly being lifted. I still check espn mobile once a day or so, just to follow the agendas being pushed. Same with news in general.

The underlying message is if you are white you are racist.

The unintended and clearly accidentally subliminal message under that is,
this game is for black people, white racists we don't want you watching,
and we'll make it uncomfortable for you to watch.

The games are no longer representative of the American population.

And not because of the racial makeup of the players. But because the VAST majority of sports fans support the military, law enforcement, the flag, and see BLM for exactly what it is.

The lack of atmosphere/crowds play into it. Bars closed play into it, too. They counted on fans coming back after lockdowns. Instead, many fans found new things to do...

These rating drops are also a stinging reality check against the league's poster boy, Lebron James. We are to believe he is the greatest ever? Not only does he lack the stats of Jordan, he utterly fails to produce the ratings like Jordan. If this was 1992 and COVID hit, Jordan would have been commanding the highest viewership numbers ever by playing like Superman, not driving viewers away by incessantly talking like a dumbass like Labron seems to constantly do.

I glanced at part of the Lakers vs Heat last night. I don't think anyone was in the stands. Same stupid "crowd" sounds as the Bears games. Ridiculous.

Most people have found family things to do, thanks to the Wuhan Flu.

The Pumpkin Patch/Amusement Park for kiddies was packed.
