Not for the 100 word contest, but I hope reason will prevail. Maybe 2 or 3????
And only one entry can win.

How maybe were you anticipating?

How maybe were you anticipating?

I don't know yet.

It's just sometimes I get a good story idea and it's like:

"Shoot! I already submitted a story for the current contest!"

and then later it's like: "Now I can't remember that idea!"

Just a reasonable number. Hopefully.

Okay. 2 then

Thank you.

With the mic extended.
The echoes through silence.
Alone no more.

The backstory to this...

My wife was diagnosed with a rather nasty form of sarcoma in 2015.

After she had her first mass reduction they gave her 6-8 months to live and sent her home to get comfortable.

My wife went straight to the Bible and started working on it.

My spirituality is entirely different.

I took a week after to get away from EVERYTHING and go think about it.

This story is a tiny bit of what happened.

It ended up changing my viewpoints on a lot of things spiritually.

My wife as of today is cancer free and her Doctor says what has happened is "impossible."

A lot of things are "impossible."

Yet we accomplish them anyways, if we really want to.

I didn't want to post this in my short story thread because I want it to stand by itself.

With only 100 words, I guess these are more micro vignettes.

Even better. And limiting. Succinct.
