First up the shooting

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a deadly shooting near the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” (CHOP) zone Monday morning.
Police responded to the area around 3 a.m. and found a Jeep Cherokee "riddled with bullets," Police Chief Carmen Best said.
Susan Gregg, a spokesperson for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said early Monday an unidentified male and a 14-year-old were transported to the hospital in critical condition after being shot. The Seattle Police Department later said the unidentified male is 16 years old.[

Local News report on the shooting

As for Seattle's Mayor

Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant joined a large group of protesters outside the CHOP zone who marched to Durkan's house on Sunday afternoon.
One of the demonstrators said, "We came down to Jenny Durkan's mansion to bring the demands of the movement and of the families who have been impacted by police violence to her doorstep as she seems to not be able to hear our demands any other way."

As far as I can tell the chop/chaz was supposed to come down two days ago but the mayor stalled and the whole situation seems like it is turning into a bigger mess.
What are your thoughts ATS on the ongoing situation in Seattle?

Unmitigated disaster in the Leftist wasteland.....12 alarm dumpster fire also comes to mind.
Retake it by force, arrest the mayor and make an example of her to the rest of the Leftist mayors that refuse to uphold the laws of this land.

Get the independent investigative journalists in there. Get footage, get the real story. Broadcast it everywhere about the true goings on in there.

Good or bad.

Let the footage speak for itself. After all, isn't that all that is needed nowadays?

Just a video to sway public opinion?

Screw the legal system?

Isn't that how is works now, no judge, no jury, no peace?

I have seen plenty of footage from proud boys beating up members to Raz Simones handing out guns. I really need to bookmark it.
At least I got the RAZ gun video saved.

Arrest the pathetic excuse of a mayor. People need to be held accountable for their actions, so let’s start there!

They should burn and loot the mayors mansion. That's my first thought.

Little interesting Background I found on Mayor Jenny Durkins

During this time she also worked for many nonprofits and advocacy groups, and was briefly Governor Mike Lowry's chief lawyer. In October 2009, President Barack Obama appointed her United States Attorney for the Western District of Washington. She held that position until September 2014

She also probably has a direct line to Obama and has been taking orders from him.
Corrupt criminals usually work together.

You know at this point I really wouldn't be surprised if that is the case. there is just so much cray cray happening right now and a spider web of coincidental connections seems to keep rearing its ugly head.

www.capitolhillseattle.com... seems it was "the Chop/chaz" private security that did the shooting and the dead and the wounded kid were both african american so i guess it didnt take them long to become the very thing they wanted to protest against

June 7th: Protester is shot after car speeds into crowd at 11th and Pine. Nikolas Fernandez charged. June 20th: 19-year-old killed and another man wounded after shooting at 10th and Pine. Lorenzo Anderson remembered. June 21st: 17-year-old shot west of Cal Anderson Park June 23rd: Man to hospital at 11th and Denny shooting June 29th: One teen killed, 14-year-old wounded in shooting following reported camp driveby Police were not reported entering the area of the protest. A group of heavily armed private security was seen taking position in the area of the Car Tender lot at 12th and E Olive St where the group has been deployed in recent days. The white Jeep Cherokee involved in the shooting was reported empty of occupants by police near 12th and Pine, pointed north where it crashed through a barrier near where the core group of occupying protesters has set up camp outside the emptied East Precinct.

In statement is was ended. but in execution not so much. Seems that the mayor wafled on it . City official went in they had bulldozer to take down the barricades then they compromised on using the bulldozer.

Basically not taking immediate and decisive action on the morning they went in has allowed the chaz to linger on.

I mean yeah its completely morphed, one of the lead activist Andre Taylor is calling for an end to it

END THIS!

Right we now know that its not about black lives, But once again we have other forces at play that are controlling and manipulating black people.

I think we had someone lay infront of a tractor that kind of stopped it.

Kshama Sawant is the city council member who led the protesters to Jenny Durkins house. She is also the one who opened the door to city hall to let the protesters in on the night the police were told to abandon the station.

Mayor Jennys address was kept hidden for security reasons since she was appointed as an attorney to the Washington by obama back in 2014.

My theory is that Kshama Sawant knew were the mayor lived and had been to her house previously thats why she led them to the mayors house.
There seems to be all sorts of game of thrones style politics playing out in Seattle.

The poor police chief can't do her job because she is denied the ability to do so by the mayor. The mayor ends up with protesters outside her house because one of her city council members likely betrayed her.

Kshama Sawant

Kshama Sawant (/ʃʌmɑː sɑːˈwʌnt/; born October 17, 1973)[1][2] is an American politician and economist who has served on the Seattle City Council since 2014. She is a member of Socialist Alternative.

A former software engineer, Sawant became an economics instructor in Seattle after immigrating to the United States from her native India.[3] She ran unsuccessfully for the Washington House of Representatives in 2012 before winning her seat on the Seattle City Council in 2013. She was the first socialist to win a citywide election in Seattle since Anna Louise Strong was elected to the school board in 1916.[4][5]
