Revelation 13:16-18 (revised)

And she cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark (virus) in their right hand (contact), or in their foreheads (temperatures): And that no man might buy or sell. And she save he that had the mark (virus), or the name of the beast, or the number (murderer) of his name. Here is wisdom. Let her that hath under standing counter the number (murderer) of the beast: for it is the number (murderer) of a man; and his number (murderer) is Six hundred threescore and six (Robotic).

So the rapture will come true. Which of you believes there is going to be no rapture? And why do you believe that?

The word rapture is not in the bible. Always wondered where it came from. Probably some bible belt traveling preacher.

The Rapture
A Popular but False Doctrine

How do we know whether God inspired John Darby with new understanding? It actually would not be difficult to verify. Jesus said, “…the Scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35), meaning Scripture agrees within itself. If the rapture were truly a biblical doctrine, it would mesh with all other scriptural references to Christ’s coming. But it does not stand up to that test, as we will see.

Many will be disappointed and fall away, they put their hopes in a rapture.

The rapture is fantasized in “Christian media” like the Left Behind movies. If the fantasy doesn’t play out, then what. The key is to understand God did not lie. But man lied.

Read the Bible and seek the truth about the end times on your own. Don’t read commentaries or books about the end times. It’s all there in the scriptures, ask and God has revealed all of what he wants us to know about the end. Don’t pin your hope on speculation and commentary.

As a Christian I think the rapture is pretty lame
Nothing in the bible indicates every christian disappearing suddenly.
Be more interested to see if you could explain the rapture and why you believe it’s true claymation, based on what you have read in the bible, not heard from a preacher

Crazy, Christians will believe just about anything, no wonder atheists think we are idiots

The word Harpazo is though. (a. The transporting of a person from one place to another, especially to heaven, by supernatural means. b. Rapture An event in the eschatology of certain Christian groups in which believers in Christ will be taken up to heaven either prior to or at the Second Coming. www.thefreedictionary.com...)

The only truthful thing you wrote is the word revised. Who in the world taught you how to read and understand what you have read?

KJV bible
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Now to answer your question. A rapture is implied in various scriptures with the understanding that a rapture means taking up or gathering unto ones self. In the Greek to English the most common concept is taking up or gathering. Actually one gathering has already occurred and that gathering was when Jesus was three days and three nights in Sheol and gathered the justified spirits of the dead souls and led them into His kingdom of heaven. This was His new covenant of offering New Jerusalem, food and water with a new body that will be eternal.

There are two more gatherings to happen in our future. The first of theses last two is the gathering of justified spirits at the end or during the great tribulation. The last gathering is at the end of time when all life is gathered from this world. You can use the word gathering or rapture, it makes no difference to understanding the scriptures.

That verse is about the imposition of a mark. How do you get "rapture" out of that?
The only effect of the mark is to be decide who does and who does not get persecuted by the Beast.

"Rapture" comes from the word RAPTUS, which is Latin for "caught up" See 1 Thessalonians ch4 v17. The modern doctrine of "Rapture" is wrong, but only because they get the timing wrong. Paul is describing what happens to everybody when Christ returns.

rapture (n.) c. 1600, "act of carrying off," from Middle French rapture, from Medieval Latin raptura "seizure, rape, kidnapping," from Latin raptus "a carrying off, abduction, snatching away; rape" (see rapt). Earliest attested use in English is of women and in 17c. it sometimes meant rape (v.), which word is a cognate of this. Sense of "spiritual ecstasy, state of mental transport" first recorded c. 1600 (raptures).

Origin of word "rapture"

I don't believe so. God doesn't cause "his bride" to be subjected to the kind of horror that the Tribulation will offer. God saved Noah just in the nick of time, he saved Lot and his daughters in the nick of time, he saved Rahab, he also saved the firstborn in Egypt. He does not suffer his people (those that believe) to such torture. I think we are going to come into a time of possibly seeing the very first telltale signs and then be whisked out of here.

God also says he will remove the Restrainer (Holy Spirit) from the world before the Tribulation. We believers are the Temple who contain the Holy Spirit. We will not be here when things get ugly.

Paul says the believers get transformed bodies rather plainly...and that group is marked as the group that never tasted death.....for eternity. It's not about a rapture of the brride....it's God getting His first fruits which will he priests and kings after the order of Michelsedek....he he

Paul says it's a sin not to follow and preach and teach his mystery gospel....and that all men will be judged by his gospel 1 COR 4

Mark on their forehead kinda reminds me of the hindu bindi. The red dot on the forehead of Indian Hindu's. Representing the sixth chakra or the seat of concealed wisdom.

We are born of the beast (aka animal kingdom). 666 represents the son of man, the three lowest centre chakra's are the beasts kingdom each with 6 dimensions. When we figuratively murder the beast, our kundalini rises to highest chakra, which cannot be bought or sold.

In Christian terms its the real meaning of being born again, being one with God.
