The debate was supposed take place on Sunday in Phoenix, Ariz., just days before the Arizona primary on March 17. But on Thursday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced that they were moving the debate to Washington D.C. “out of an abundance of caution and in order to reduce cross-country travel.”

This has the making of another DNC debacle, Bigly!

With all the hype around the Foreign Virus the Democrats have decided to change the time and venue for the next debate, Sunday 3/15/2020 in Washington, DC.
There is no doubt that the deep state/MSM/never trumpers have been trying to capitalize on this pandemic and turn it into another Iran hostage moment where by the incumbent has lost the country due to extreme incompetence....

The democrats have been so inept ever since Trump declared his candidacy for president we are about to witness another.
Here we have it, America stuck at home, indoors on a Sunday night no sports no work just good old Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders set to debate for the democrat ticket to become the political rival of President Trump.

What we will see, whether they stand or sit, is a unveiling of two old white guys representing the party of diversity. Neither one of them has any chance of becoming president but more to my point is that the nation will see, whether we like it or not, the horror that is the democrat party offerings for the future of our country.

Get your popcorn because this will be comedy gold.
Trump will end up unifying the country after the Wuhu Virus and the democrats will be left with nothing but Pelosi and Schumer whining about god knows what.

The media will setup Bernie for a major loss. Hell they gave Hillary the questions before her debates, or at least one that we know of. The new campaign strategy now that impeachment without a crime didn’t work will be to weaponize Coronavirus politically. They are disgusting people who already campaign on restricting rights, destroying industries, killing babies and installing socialism. What would it hurt to stand on the graves of Americans and the collapse of many people financially to try and regain power?

So.....so?

I mean, there wasn't going to be a live audience anyway because of coronavirus. They could do it anywhere in the world it wouldn't matter. They could stay at home and skype it in...

So...so?

Had the debate been on Saint Patrick's Day eve as originally scheduled there would have been much less viewership.
The way this has unfolded has put the spotlight on a democrat primary debate that was initially going to fly under the radar.

I am thinking the exposure, the tv audience will be far greater than if the debate was held in Phoenix just ahead of March 17th with an American populace much more interested in having a few(dozen) drinks and getting out to parties.
Now the entire electorate will be viewing the debate between a compromised Biden and a socialist Sanders on a somber Sunday night with the wuhan virus keeping eyes focused on our government leadership.

Had it been scheduled for the 17th and changed, sure, I guess...but, as long as I have heard of it, it was scheduled for today, the 15th.

Only the place has changed...? When did the date change? I don't see that anywhere.

You are correct, I miss read the date.
However the captive audience will still be in play due to the Wuhan Virus.
Having the debate this Sunday(tonight) is turning out to be more exposure than the DNC wanted.

Yeah, we're all kind of "captive" these recent days, it seems.

I can't speak to them wanting more or less exposure...you'd think presidential nominees would want as much exposure as possible and so this would be fortunate for them. I don't know... I'd prefer a live audience, personally.

Yes but Sunday night with a de facto quarantine audience is much different than a Monday night audience without the Wuhan virus crisis, a day before a major/holiday party event, is in my opinion a significant difference.

Regarding wanting exposure, the Biden campaign would much prefer to have Bernie concede and not have any more debates.
Joe Biden has not had any good debates, just take a look. Joe Biden is running on empty and has no message aside from Trump is a bad guy which is starting to get old.

Personally, millions by that time will be looking at empty plates on the dinner table. Have you ever seen the poverty in America. I sure have and it ain't a pretty sight either.

bernie and biden are just actors at the moment
no 77 year olders can handle the stress that America is in at its current state
luckily we have a President who hasnt abused himself with drugs, alcohol and well who knows what else


but who will be in charge at election time
my guess
some military commander and martial law will be 100% in place at that time
the only problem many of the military will be down with the virus
you all understand that there is a high probability of a second infection
its all a chain reaction

elections in my mind just won't happen

I am still feeling that we will have a much better outlook in a couple weeks.
I am also not seeing anyone in charge of the USA aside from our current commander in chief, President Trump.

1. Japan was about 30 days behind China and mostly because of the Diamond Princess we knew it was at our shores
2. Then once it was known, I posted many times that Japan was about 3 days behind the activity of China. I realize that when Japanese bosses of companies in China were leaving. About 500 Japanese companies are in Wuhan ( I don't know if they are still in operation)
3. Then the other day (March 13 th I think ) PM Abe postponed the "State of Emergency". (why , it was after Pres. Trump issued the State of Emergency) my guess is to study the habits of Americans under such unknown circumstances
4. So before #3 here we had what I call a "stage 1 panic", nothing more then masks and toilet paper and a few cleaning stuff. No food panic at all. (but us foreigners were buying up what they could that we normally eat)
5. So for America (based on ATS) the "silent panic" as I have called it was taking place in America for the last 3 weeks, so I guess I should call that "stage 1 panic".
6. Sad to say "stage 2 panic " is what Hong Kong and maybe China looked like. Food flying off the shelves. The thing now what is well known is that both HK and China have neighborhood distribution of mask, food and medicine, although medicine, once you get it, the police come to your home and check for people with the virus, what happens after that in China only, I haven't heard.
7. So in reality, since I don't live in the States and haven't talked to anyone personally, I'd say "level 2 panic" if for real in the States. What that really means in detail is "quarantine", a nice soft touch of words being used is "self quarantine", but we already know by that one govt Representative of Congress I believe his last name starts with letter G, well, self quarantine unless it is strictly policed, and I mean that, just won't work in large cities. Rural it might.
8. I'm gearing up here to be self quarantine within the next 45 days, maybe shorter, but I don't actually live in Tokyo. I understand that there is some kind of quarantine going on in Hokkaido. Actually we have many types of quarantines, but in definition, it really means "unemployed " do to the corona virus.

In my honest opinion, one in America should think of buying some chickens if they can, plant a garden, become more self supporting within your neighborhood. One must be prepared for at least 6 months of future hardships. That can mean whatever the next day brings to you. I've seen poverty 1st hand in America and it isn't pretty, but most people were nice people, but you got to remember 2 things now "1. A HUNGRY MAN IS A DANGEROUS MAN". "2. EXTREME TIMES REQUIRE EXTREME MEASURES". At the moment, things are normal here except at the local hospital, nothing hysterical, because for the last 3 weeks they been (doctors and staff) are being train for the worst.

Although people say don't panic, well don't , but I would rather them start saying this is what needs to be done in an orderly fashion and this why I mentioned PM Abe postponement of state of emergency.
I've also mentioned many times (nearly 3 decades here) that Japan in many ways is like China. We also have a Communist Party in Tokyo govt. But its not a big "boogy man" deal.
