First, let me explain briefly, my stance on politics, then I'll explain what seems to be taking place once again.

I'm a libertarian, always have been since I got very involved in politics back in the Ron Paul days. I wasn't even considered "right" leaning until after the 2012 elections when I noticed a shift happen back then, where many so-called libertarians became hard-core SJW types, still claiming to be libertarian but of the anarchy variety. I didn't even know that was a thing until I guess it became super trendy. This happened during OWS and just after Ron Paul lost the republican nomination, and it was very strange. People literally went from capitalist free-market libertarians to some other weird thing. I noticed a real hatred toward the right from those types and very little criticism of the left, in fact embracing most social insanity like adding more genders and calling everything under the sun racist. It wasn't until after that, I realized I guess I lean more toward the right because they were seemingly going bat # insane.

I noticed that shift happen pretty quickly here on ATS and everywhere, in fact. My ideals never changed, still haven't. I didn't vote for Trump. I really didn't like him, but I didn't know much about him other than the "Apprentice" and the fact that he had that annoying New York attitude. I've never been a fan of loud fast talkers, and I considered him to be just another rich rude New Yorker.

But then I witnessed all the "TDS" stuff, and I think anyone with half a brain could see the left were going absolutely bat # insane with all the constant accusations of racism, misogyny, homophibia etc etc. You get what I'm saying. Everyone on either side at least knows what I'm talking about whether you're someone who's doing the constant accusing or the one constantly hearing it while cringing. (That's me)

Policy wise, I can't complain much about Trump other than some foreign policy stuff which has been no different from any other president in the last 20 years. I don't like most of his speeches, but I really don't care about that. All I know is that Bernie and pretty much the ENTIRE left is exactly opposite of what I believe is best for this country.

Let's fast forward to this last month. I've seen a huge shift happen once again. The whole thing feels like a massive psy-op.

This week especially. It's pretty mild on ATS, but in a big way things are shifting in other places. This Coronavirus thing, and Trumps speech. People are really mad about that speech and some people are seemingly changing as a result. Real TDS stuff from otherwise normal republicans. It almost seems like the stage is being set for something big. And by big, I mean a whole lot of people changing their tune and causing real problems for the POTUS. It just doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I'm wrong, I hope I'm wrong because I personally really don't want to see a globalist/socialist/utopian/eternally offended society come to fruition.

I'm not sure I explained that quite right, but I hope you get the gist. Some days I wonder if it's better just to give up and let the socialists and the SJW's win since that's what the younger peeps want. But what pisses me off, is that we're always giving voice to "Boomers" and "Millenials" when really next in line should be the "Genx-ers". (That's me) But I guess we'll just hand it over to the Millennials!

Oh no. Is this psy-op working on ME?! Maybe I'm just paranoid. Lol, I hope so.

I sense it too. Things are changing rapidly and the response is horrible. Letting infected people back into the country? Making Pense the czar? Something isn’t right here.

It seems something much bigger is at play and I suspect the big players aren’t going to wait another 5 years to mobilize the plan.

I've been suspecting psy-ops all along. I'm not even sure about the President.

Let me explain briefly:

I see him what seems to be some good stuff, but his economic policy worries me. We're going deeper and deeper into debt as a nation. He talks a fair game against the Fed, but nothing's come of it. The economy has to go bust again, just like it did in 2008, only worse because they've not fixed the problems that caused the 2008 bust, just smeared some ointment over
'em and stuck on a plaster.

When the whole thing goes bust, it's the rich elite, the "1%," as we tend to call them, that will benefit.

Who's in that 1%? Mr. Trump.

What if this whole damn thing is just one big psyop to hold us peons off until the big collapse? Nobody has actually gone to jail; we just get big promises and hints and crumbs.

I dunno. I don't feel like any of this will end well in the short term. Long term - and I' talking really, really long term - yeah, I have hope, but that hope is of another kind. But here and now? I dunno ...

To begin with if they US citizens then you can't denigh reentry back into the US. Pence has more administrative experience than Trump. Who would you have put in charge? I agree there is something bigger going on here and who ever it is, is ramping up the plan.

I think I got the gist of what your saying but you lost me at "Genx-ers" are the next in line. In line for what?

Also, the youngest millennial will turn 24 in 2020 and the oldest will be 39. I'd say those you called "younger peeps" might actually be GenZ.

No. I let the SJW win at work because that's where my supervisor was intellectually. It ends in a crash and burn, FUBAR situation.
Trust yourself. Do not give in to what folks are pushing these days.

The AOC types are the Millenials I am refering to. Yes, I know their ages. "Next in line" means taking the reigns, the majority of seats belong to boomers. I mean that's pretty obvious, right?

According to this Genx-ers make up 31.5% of congress while millennials only make up 6%. Seems to me Genx-ers just might be taking the reigns.

Also AOC is 1/26 of the millennials holding a seat. What are the policies of the other 25? Maybe just looking at age is not a good metric. Just saying.

I know the feeling, lately I can’t shake the notion that this Corvid 19 virus was released among the population to help dwarf and conceal another economic correction.

Normally, I wouldn't go as far to think the same. This is ATS and we see these theories all the time. But this one just smells weird to me.

Even otherwise rational people lose their sh!t when confronted with disease and the reality that we cannot really fight viruses.

The reality is that there is very little that can be done about this beyond what's being done, and those measures are medieval. Yeah, you do your best to quarantine and slow the spread so your doctors have a fighting chance to help those who will need support.

And for a modern people used to the idea that the doctor gives you a pill and fixes it or you get a shot and that fixes it, this is going to feel ... sub-standard. But there it is.

Most people are making up the most outlandish scare stories in their own heads when on personal level, most of us will only get mildly ill from this with a nasty cold or flu-like sickness. The real danger is that you get unlucky enough to need medical support and then you'll be there with everyone else, all at once who needs it too and there will too many who need it all at once for the available medical support to cope.

That's the danger. That and the disruptions caused by efforts to slow the spread of illness so that medical can keep up.

It's funny how a skunk can't smell his own stink. You are being completely manipulated and controlled by the media. Imagine for a moment all the so called "left-wing" media is actually owned by right wing Republicans who share your libertarian laissez faire capitalist agenda. What would be the best way to or best thing to say to make the people outraged at the TV set in such a way people will "lean more toward the right". What would the TV say to you to drive you to vote a certain way? How would the talking heads act so your opinion became, "in fact embracing most social insanity" made you decide it's time to vote right-wing candidates.

If you ever want to learn how not to be manipulated by the Republican owned TV media, this video will make you like Roddy Piper in the movie, "They Live":

Keep wearing your "special glasses".

Given that I formed much of my opinions after living for a few decades and reading lots of books ... I am not sure what you're on about.

I don't think Trump cares what the reason is why the stock market tanks. If it tanks more he will not get re-elected. This is why he put such tight controls over the CDC when it came to press conferences about the virus. For Trump, the getting re-elected in more important.

This right here, I live in a bigger city in central Illinois.. There is a push of Democratic free # here lately, you cannot almost afford to live here anymore... Many have and are leaving for a reason, do not hesitate to tell me why but the numbers speak for themselves. Not really sure where I stand on the virus, it hasn't hit home yet.. I take a weird kind of vit c to boost my immunity and in my opinion it gives me energy.

Have a decent job but still struggling to make ends meet... now I see that 15 dollars an hour burger flippers are a thing and I can already see the increase in anything I can pay for... I've always been the type "If I don't have the cash I can't buy that", type of person....Will never vote Democrat again and they can all burn in he**, we are taking our country back and that's final.

Trump will have more popular votes in this election than he did in 2016. Will it be enough to win the electoral though?
