I like to compare Government subsistence to the old Government cheese. It kind of looks and smells like cheese, but taste like lard even though it is called cheese. With government subsistence "quality" part of "quality of life" is removed and you get only that you are still alive.

A rabid TDS afflicted Trump hater ranted at me at the lap pool a few weeks ago with "Are you racist?" at an angry loud volume.

I said calmly, "No."

He: "Did you vote for Trump?"

Me: Yes

"He's racist!" ranted on.

He was near physically violent so I just let him rant.

This week I noted calmly that I didn't understand how someone who had dated a black woman and been kind to black families & groups all his adult life could be racist.

I couldn't hear his reply but it was at least a lot calmer and he had some food for thought that had invaded his ears.
