Wow, I can see the streets on garbage day over there, a crow can even work the lid off of some garbage cans.

Where I live one of our walmarts has thousands of crows and they got a sound machine which drove them off until some bleeding hearts said the machine was hurting the birds so they shut the machine off. Now the birds land on the cars and crap all over them.

Its weird when they stand in a circle, like they are having a meeting.

Crows remember any animal or human who kills a crow, and will dive bomb them every time they come out of a house. I think for years. I had a buddy who shot one. He regretted it

😟.. that’s a scary thought !

There has to be a way to take down the population, just in certain places and if that means building crow sanctuaries and migrating them there.. so be it... OR.. better yet.. why don’t we all just start eating crow.😉

We had pidgeon problem at the steel mill I work at. They lived up in the I beams, under the roof and crapped everywhere. We had a pest control company come out. They began feeding them trays of corn, and after awhile they poisoned the corn. They are all gone now

The coolest thing I've seen was when I was looking out of one of our upstairs windows. About 80 of them were stood in a perfect circle, all facing in. In the middle was one crow and a magpie.

They all goaded them on in a fight for about 3 minutes. The crow clearly won, they all stood still for about 30 seconds after then dispersed.

The geometry struck me the most, it was a perfect fighting ring.

consider " where did 50k crows come from " ?

its not a trick question - thie birds in pics of this story SEEM to be all adults

adult populations do not just " appear " in numbers

its most likley other areas are missing thier crows - why they amalgamate - i has no idea

nor do i know how to disperse them inan orderly manner

but cull is not the automartic answer

So basically what you’re saying is there is no real cause for alarm as they are only getting together for family reunions and then not returning home.

I’m afraid we will need another St. Patrick to lead the crows back home to their original nests and return a more balanced crow population.

Duh.. I didn’t even see the word murder in the title and was not aware a large group of crows was referred to as a murder until I continued on with the thread.
