FISA court slams FBI over surveillance applications, in rare public order

Dear Mr. Comey,

Please tell us again how wonderful and professional you and your agency were. Because no less a person than the chief judge of the FISA court thinks you screwed the pooch big time:

In a rare public order Tuesday, the chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court strongly criticized the FBI over its surveillance-application process, giving the bureau until Jan. 10 to come up with solutions, in the wake of findings from Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

The order, from the court's presiding judge Rosemary M. Collyer, came just a week after the release of Horowitz's withering report about the wiretapping of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, as part of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

"The FBI's handling of the Carter Page applications, as portrayed in the [Office of Inspector General] report, was antithetical to the heightened duty of candor described above," Collyer wrote in her four-page order. "The frequency with which representations made by FBI personnel turned out to be unsupported or contradicted by information in their possession, and with which they withheld information detrimental to their case, calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable."

Let me guess since they all hate Trump, we will get hand slaps, fingers pointed, then never hear about it again.

Either people go to jail or they should just shut down the entire court because it can't be trusted.

This is the Justice Department. They should know that the FBI constantly makes things up to get what they want. It is no secret, most Americans know that the FBI is very good at getting what they want done to get warrants. We have that agency because they get results. The fact that their investigation in this case was not based on real evidence and it was against the sitting president is all we need to worry about. They participated in aiding a coup.

No kidding. The FBI only makes arrests in cases where they either manufacture horsecrap evidence to frame someone, or they manufacture a conspiracy to entrap someone.

The most worthless law enforcement entity the world has ever seen, outside of the banana republics.

That's what it sounds like to me.

giving the bureau until Jan. 10 to come up with solutions,

No indictments, no criminal charges, just a month to what? Give a few reprimands maybe fire some people.

Is it too late to splinter the CIA and FBI into a thousand pieces, scatter them to the winds and start over?

Except for the local police departments that do the same and individuals who refuse to cross the blue line when it comes of police corruption and abuse of power.

Judge Collyer had already delivered a blistering 99-page report on FISA process abuse a couple of years ago so I'm thinking she just might be serious about this.

This crap makes not only the 4th-amendment shredding FISA program look extremely bad and fascistic but it also makes these rubber-stamping judges look like incompetent idiots who care nothing for constitutional integrity.

Bust some asses, Rosemary, bust some asses.

Ever notice every time the FBI charges people for distributing pirated copies of star wars or _________ . There is also another charge of child pronography that's suddenly is thrown into to mix. The one being charge always goes with the lesser charge because .....

Imagine ... as a test ... suspend them all for a week.

The world doesn't end? Suspend 'em for a month. Same result? You're gone ... just like Al Capone is no more.

TSA!! You're next!!

So no doubt now?
No wonder it is so quiet.
Word from the court itself, fraud is a felony.

But, you see, they get the person to either make a plea bargain deal and plead guilty to that or to rat on someone bigger so the case never goes to trial where the lack of evidence would allow the person to get off scott free.

Off topic...

Thank you for continuing to use the phrase "Bonespurs" in reference to Trump.

You make it a constant reminder to anyone reading that if you do not think like the left does then they will stoop to any level to mock and demean you, down to a physical impairment.

Good job and keep it up!!!

Please PLEASE keep posting!!!

Although if I were you I'd at least approach the RNC and ask for a little money.

You ARE working tirelessly on social media to repel anyone who ever thought of voting Democrat, after all...

The FISA Court is basically a rubber stamp for police-state surveillance.

They're just as complicit. I mean they don't watch the ####ing news?

They come out NOW and say something?

Bull, poo.
