People voted for Trump because Hilary Clinton was worse and completely untrustworthy. Not because they hate the system. Albeit, the system is trash. Especially the criminal justice system but, Trump won because he was the better choice at the time.

People voted Trump because he was not a politician, he has financial success, and because he sparked significant controversy. He became the voice for many people that was scared to speak.

In 2016, Trump was the answer. Not Hilary.

They voted Trump as push-back to the PC garbage being forced on them.

Exactly for 2020 we could say the same about Trump its either Trump or some socialist candidates that offer only empty promises.

Trump is the system. If he's as rich as he claims he is (I don't think he is), he's part of the people who control everything. He won the election because our education system has failed us for 3 or 4 decades.

You think the past few years has been the system supporting Trump as one of their own?

Republican or Democrat doesn't matter. When poeple are being over taxed, they will revolt against their government, regardless of who is in charge. The American revolution happened because of a tax on tea. The Yellow Vest protests have been going on in France for over a year now because of a Green tax on fuel. There are also protests going on in the Netherlands & Germany because of globalist environmental regulations. Elizabeth Warren becoming president will just fast track the revolution against government. Many will die during our next revolution from starvation.

Millennials ... revolt?

No, they voted trump because they’re tired of stagnant wages, a disappearing middle class, a two tiered justice system, and disenfranchisement from the political process. To bad they didn’t realize he’s full of sht. Trump is not establishment by any means, but he is indicative of the problem, that those with money can accomplish anything regardless of talent or lack thereof, while those without money can have all the talent in the world and still wind up a janitor. Trump isn’t the solution, and neither is warren. The solution is for all the working class to get together and stop the wealthy elite from dictating policy and monopolizing all the profits for themselves. But since we can’t pull our heads out of our asses that’s unlikely so I expect we will just see more of the same. Stagnant wages, shrinking middle class, and a govt not responsive to the needs or will of its people.

Millennials ... revolt?

I expect so at some point. The capitalist end game will likely come in their lifetime, where the vast majority will not be compensated enough by their low wage service sector jobs to afford bare subsistence. I expect the collapse of the economy in the next 6-8 months, followed by the collapse of the dollar as the world reserve to empty the vast majority out. Desperate sheep can often become vicious jackals on an empty stomach, and dont think for a second that millenials don’t have it in them. Today’s military has plenty vicious, brutal millennials. There’s plenty bad ass millennial police, fighters, nurses, etc.

So you don't think Trump is the system?

I've seen a well orchestrated show, to make people believe that one of the richest, and most corrupt men in history cares about middle class wages and stuff.

That's right, the ruling class are having a good giggle watching the plebs support them while thinking they are not.

But he's actually helping middle class wages... as well as employment, justice reform, etc.

That's bad to you?

As for one of the most corrupt men in history, did you miss the FBI instigation, the Senate investigation, the House investigation, the SC investigation, the entire media combing through everything he has ever done and the current batches of investigations that have all found... nothing?

No... all your post shows is your own partisan bias and has no reflection on actual reality.

But I'm used to that.

Right says the swamp is all Democrats. Left says the swamp is all Republicans.

It's tiring and i give up even reading any post on ATS that just immediately blames everything on one side.
