U.S. House Representative Duncan Hunter has pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges Tuesday, CBS Los Angeles reports.

Rep. Hunter, 42, changed his not guilty plea in federal court in San Diego. He has been accused of looting campaign cash to finance vacations, golf outings and other personal expenses. He says that he changed his plea in order to protect his children.

“I think it would be really tough for them,” Duncan said. “It’s hard enough being the kids of a public figure. I think it’s time for them to live life outside the spotlight.”

Hunter also stated that he will accept whatever sentence the judge gives.

He concluded that he would like his seat to remain in Republican hands and he will try to ensure a smooth transition, indicating he will be leaving Congress.

BREAKING: Dozens of Baltimore Corrections Officers Indicted on Over 200 Charges

Over two dozens Baltimore corrections officers have been indicted Tuesday, according to CBS Baltimore.

The Baltimore City State Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that 25 corrections officers have been indicted on over 200 charges of abuse of power and excessive force.

Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said these officers “corrupted their obligation to public safety,”

“If you break the law and you break the trust the public has placed within you, you will face the consequences,” She added.

None of the officers identities have been provided at this time. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

Schiff really should go into acting...after he gets out of prison, of course. Maybe the prison he will be in will have a theater group he can engage with.

Bill and Hillary Clinton stayed at Jeffrey Epstein's notorious 'baby-making ranch' almost every year after they left the White House, according to the disgraced financier's estate manager.

The former president was Epstein's closest 'celebrity mate' and the Clintons, along with daughter Chelsea, visited Zorro Ranch 'a whole bunch of times', a former contractor who ran the IT system at the property told DailyMailTV in an exclusive interview.  

The family visited the 10,000-acre estate in the New Mexico desert often, but never stayed in the main house. 

Instead, the Clinton family bunked down in a special cowboy-themed village created by Epstein, which is a mile south of his own luxury mountaintop villa. They'd use one of the two guest houses, which look like they're straight out of the 19th century.

This is all according to security expert Jared Kellogg, who was brought in by long-standing ranch manager Brice Gordon to improve security and set up a camera system at the main house and 'cowboy village'.

You know it seems to me that a Judge sitting in one of the most important seats in the law of the land, making and deciding on some of some of the most important laws for the people of the land, should be required to have a clear mind. Not one partially or distracted with pain, nor one on heavy pain killers. I feel this would interfere with their clarity. Why can't they have an "Extra" to fill in until clarity is deemed to be a reasonable level or something to that affect.

Supreme court justices are subject to the Senate's "advice and consent" role in the Constitution; any "temporary" appointment would have to go through that process.

The only way to remove a judge is through impeachment - they hold office for life "during good behavior" (www.usconstitution.net...)

Note that occasionally district court (trial level) judges are temporarily appointed to the circuit court (appellate level) when there are vacancies, I assume a statute allows this.
