And, just exactly, where will the "evangelical" vote go, if not to President Trump? Surely not to any of the "train wreck" dims.
I suppose you could argue that some may opt to not vote, but I doubt that would be in overwhelming numbers.
Evangelicals may be a bit "whacky" in their views, when compared to mainstream America, but they are by and large very conservative, and some things
they don't want is liberal SCOTUS appointments, expansion of abortion rights, suppression of religious freedom, etc.
They voted Trump in 2016, not because he was one of them, but because the alternative was Hillary. Hillary was right wing compared to this cycle's
crop of dims.
One last point I would make, If I'm not mistaken, Evangelical types believe the end times rapture is a foregone conclusion, with the timetable being
predetermined by god, not DT.
I guess my opinion is that there is no "there" there, with respect to the supposition that Evangelicals will defect from Trump en masse.
If this is the straw anti Trumpers are grasping at, they may be disappointed.
