Was wondering why David Icke has been banned from even visiting Australia despite it stilll being a British commonwealth (which Brits can visit for up to at least 3mo without visa and vice versa) and stumbled across a bunch of predictions amidst discussions of his being a mad man:

humansarefree.com...

1. Jimmy Savile
Icke has gone beyond the elaborate idea that Savile perverse interests were limited with under age sex and rape but also necrophilia. He has understated that Savile had access to dead bodies while being volunteer as hospital porter.

2. 2012 US Shootings
Icke has predicted that in the year of 2012, US shootings would find its place in several states. Aurora shooting: 12 killed 58 injured, Sikh Temple Oak Creek: 6 killed 3 injured, Minneapolis shooting: 6 killed 3 injured, Newton/SH shooting 27 were killed, many injured.

3. 9/11
In 1999 Icke wrote: “ Between 2000-2002 the USA will suffer a major attack on a large city”.

4. Vibrations of Truth
In Ickes book ‘Truth Vibrations’ he declared that years after the millennium will gather great conflict around the world, to the point even that the United Nations gets overwhelmed. And even predicted that severe hurricanes hits the Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans after 2000.

5. Holographic Universe
Icke claims humans live in a hologram where gravity and vibrating strings are the principles. This theory has been ridiculed till now. It is being plausibly researched by the team of Professor Hyakutake at Unversity Ibaraki, Japan.

6. Telepathy
Icke has always claimed that telepathy is not merely a paranormal phenomenon, but can be scientifically proven due the use of electromagnetic fields. This claim has been verified at the Ontario University, Canada.

7. Implant Microchips in Babies
Icke had predicted that governments will implant microchips in newborn babies. Since 2015 in Sweden, newborns are already routinely chipped to avoid hospital mixups.

Does this make him a modern day prophet? I think so, though the masses might think of him more as a mad-hatter. Some of his theories are pretty out there and not sure how they'd ever be proven. Ie, the Saturn-Moon Matrix.

I looked at your list, some of those claims are hilarious, such as the 9/11 claim, and others are simply false.

He's a guy who has made innumerable vague claims, something resembling a vague claim happening does not in any way mean the claim is a prediction.

Being an antisemitic, holocaust denier probably doesn't help him getting a visa either.

It was public knowledge since he told nurses and other people what he was doing, that Saville had sex with corpses. But Icke is a prophet because he said what Saville had told people already.

The investigation, published by the Department of Health, established that Savile had publicly disclosed his interest in the dead

Us Brits need a visa to travel to Australia, regardless if you deny the holocaust or not.

No idea what you mean. British citizens need a visa. He had one, it was revoked due to antisemitism.

Oh no, he won't be able to make money peddling lies in Australia, I am sure they will be so deprived.

Aside from being an antisemitic bigot, he also predicted in 1991 that the earth would be destroyed by tidal waves and earthquakes. Pretty sure, that after almost 20 years later we have not been destroyed. Pretty sure that Icke is not a Godshead as he also claimed, whatever that is, nor has he ever presented any evidence of the Archons or Annukia, depending on the story he is telling at the time, for whom he has given credit for hijacking the earth. Icke is selling books and nothing else, and those are not exactly predictions he made as many have said the same thing

Does this make him a modern day prophet?

Prophet definition - "a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God"

Will of God - No (but could be argued as to what "God" in question - since he did once proclaim himself to be Jesus on national television regardless of whether this has been retracted now and put down to being recently awakened and confused)

If you are going by the "inspired teacher definition" possibly but can never be proven or unproven. Herein lies the problem, how accurate should anyone have to be to be considered a prophet? 10%, 20%, 100%, 27.9% or 50% of the time?

If it is 100% of the time, then he is far from a prophet, even at 75% far from it, even 50% and still not hitting the mark. Real question, what is the mark of a prophet in so called modern times?

My own personal opinion - He has some interesting theories like many others, have listened too and still do listen to him alongside others that challenge my own selfish viewpoints against as much facts as possible. Does not matter how many agree or disagree unless you want to make money.

In the end, reality is subjective and suffers from our own bias as much as we really want to be correct or grasp any truth. The truth is not out there, the truth does not exist as something external.

We make our own truth intentionally or more often than not, unintentionally.

So in answer to your threads question (can only ever be opinion based)- No

confuzzling percentages thingy with prophethood. if he can't be considered a modern day prophet, then who comparatively can? thus I believe he is, and predicted already most people see him as a mad-hatter, though.

likewise, I had just read british citizens can visit Australia up to 3mos per trip without visa thus specifically mentioned the term:
www.ivisa.com... › australia-blog › australia-visa-for-uk-citizens

"UK citizens do not require a paper or stamp visa to enter Australia, BUT they must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before their arrival. We are here to help you with this process. Just fill out the application form and be done in 15 minutes UK citizens may make multiple 90-day trips to Australia while the ETA remains valid."

whilst aus citizens can visit Britain up to 6mos without visa here:

www.visitbritain.com... › passport-and-visa-requirements-entering-uk

"If you're an American, Canadian or Australian tourist, you'll be able to travel visa-free throughout the UK"
so why would Australia require a VISA (rather than just an ETA) of David Icke?

His predictions are all failures or simply restating something other people said first then claiming credit.

Every UK citizen needs a visa. All of them.

Something bad will happen in 2020.

When it does remember my claim.

you cannot deny historical events in england, or you face thought crime charges.

makes you wonder, why would they be 'scared' to talk about a historical event?

I actually agree. That's a stupid law. It still makes anyone denying the holocaust a complete moron, and someone whose opinion is worthless.

And of those that came true they were either too vague to matter or he was simply repeating what he heard from others. So much prophecy.

I'm not sure he's a holocaust denier but I think he claimed they shower were for delousing and the people who died in the camps died from starvation and forced labor. It doesn't really matter since booth are morally bad. Since so many non-Jews died in the camps in the exact same way as the Jews it kind seems the Germans were just into the profit of having slave labor. But who cares. What difference does it make if they were gassed to death or just died from starvation doing hard labor. Dead is dead.

I've always felt David Ick's reptilian extraterrestrials were euphemisms for Jewish bankers and he just used this language to mask is anti-Jew sentiments.

He stated many times that he doesn't want/need you to believe him. He said " do your own research, most of what he says is available to us all". And if you don't believe in his speeches, don't listen to it, period.

Anyone who has tried to make him look like a fool in interviews, ended up looking like fools. Even on Wogan show in 1991 when Icke was made fun of, he was in the beginning in this adventure and he went back in the Wogan show and it sure ended differently.

It was cited that Icke was not able to get a Visa because of his character, notably the fact Icke is a Holocaust denier and anti-Semite.

He ain't no prophet as most of his "predictions" are coincidence and the vast majority of his "predictions" have never transpired. He did once proclaim himself as the new messiah though.
