Decided to take advantage of the 2nd today

The other night I stepped outside near midnight before bed. There is a cellar under the garage the previous owners put an interior door on... Needles too say it was in rough shape. That is about 20 ft from the deck.

I heard what sounded like a quick scury and the door fell. Could have been it's time, or an animal... I doubt it was a person but who knows.

Either way, I didn't want to go investigate unarmed incase there was a cornered animal. I don't want to have to get the rabies shot.

There is an alarm system on the house, so I locked up and went to bed.

Upon thinking it over, I want to be able to investigate matters like that with confidence. (looking the next day I could tell the door just finally gave up, but the lesson was there).

I bought a Taurus G2c today to just have something. But, my old love for guns is reignited. I'm sure more are on the way.

Be prepared, let them enter you home, then take them out! That's what a LEO told me in the 80's. State cop to boot. Even the police know that calling them won't save your life.
