It's finally here!
I was beginning to think that Tool was trolling their fans.

Listened to this last week. Not their best work, but it's ok.

Hope the rest of the release is better.

Well at least we don’t have to worry about them “going pop” like some other bands. This surely is not pop.

I think it’s a great album opener.

I’m a little biased, it might be a little anticlimactic, but I’m just happy to hear those 3 dudes playing music together.

Production is pretty good too. Everyone is loud and clear.

I don’t care about sports videogames or marvel movies, so Iv been milking this tool hype train for all its worth lately.

Oh man just finished the song and holy crap that was dog poop. I am truly disappointed with Maynard at the moment. I think I need to order more wine from him to get my head straight.

Exciting to say the least.

The song is good. It’s like a blend of a few other Tool songs, has some hints of lateralus and right in two.

I saw they (Tool) finally caved to the Apple gods the other day.
I’m a little sad, but happy too because I have Apple Music.

I thought it was cool how they held out on them forever and said screw you to the man. I wonder if their is a list out there of the holds outs...hmmm

Yea I know, I meant the instrumentalists.

But you right.

I like Maynard, but my interest in tool is mostly Danny and Justin.

I would have been just fine if it ended up as an instrumental album.

How'd you do that?

This song was only released yesterday.

It sounds almost like a Puscifer song, but heavier. It's been a long wait since 10,000 Days, thankfully they toured a lot during that time!

What are you talking about? Disappointed in Maynard - the vocals are GOOD.

Someone else already posted and I second that the song is reminiscent of Right in Two and Lateralus. I second that.

Might not be your personal favorite Tool song but please don't exaggerate and call it "dog poop" that is nonsense.

Schweet! Well I bet this one won't be the radio play song, at 10 minutes plus. Love Tool and looking froward to hearing the album in it's entirety. I like this song and sound but feel comfortable critiquing it as an observation. Maynard's voice should be brought up a bit, even though I know he likes to remain somewhat equally in the band mix and not stand out too much, but he seems too far subdued and heavily reverbed. Danny's drum work is awesome as expected but sounds like he has less toms and the sound could use some depth/reverb, imho. I think he is using Tabla's or electronic sound of them on this song.

I do understand the artist's perspective of growth which can include evolving changes that don't always appeal to fans but are true to the artist. So even though I may critique a bit, I still love this band and am confident the album in it's entirety will be yet another masterpiece from this uber talented band, and I am certain it will still have some good head bangin energy songs as well as the depth for sublime contemplation and mesmerization.

I’m really excited for this album.
All three songs that I’ve heard from it are amazing.
I love the long intro.
Reminds me of their song Eulogy.

13 years is finally coming to an end!
Perfect circle and tool albums just over a year apart.
