Another ATS rant without a proposed course of action to accompany concerns in the books... keep up the great work folks.

Sure, let us all just doom porn ourselves into mental misery without action until we're all dead... it's performed wonders thus far, right?

The opposite of war and destruction is love and compassion. People may be blown away to find that practices and actions to desired outcomes finds resonance with others that desire practiced actions and outcomes.

By all means, make concerns my fault... I love you ALL just the same.

Why does a rant require a course of action?

I hear that an occasional individuals mAke complaints like these within bee and ant colonies. Even patches of bacteria have similar complaints. Plants, coral, snails. There is always some dissent as to why they have to go to war also.

Perpetual war is not a uniquely human trait, it persists all the way to the bottom of the food chain, including plants, Insects, fungus and microbes.

Or basically, what your first reply stated.

For all the finger pointing you want to do at "The Man" realize that on a much more consistent scale on a day to day basis the average person does way worse to someone else than war.

Spend 1 hour working in an ER and you begin to realize just how depraved many people are.

There are other places that will have a similar effect as an ER. I worked in animal shelters years ago, and that dispelled any fanciful notions I might have had about the nature of our species.

Everything from massive corruption in the organization itself (that spread to nearly all positions of power in the small town) to truly reprehensible acts. I used to believe that most people really were "good," because thats what we are "supposed" to think right? But that didn't last long at all..

When I heard the term "animal abuse," I used to think of people beating the crap out of their pets or starving them to death on the ends of chains. I wish that was still the case, honestly.

Yeah but the leaders of the world are so entrenched the only way to actually fix the problem is for all the good peace loving people of the world to do the very thing you hate. Take up arms and go to war against these very forces that seek to keep us in perpetual war and declining further into poverty and enslavement.

Poverty and enslavement is, in my opinion, why we have wars.

There's a ton of reasons, but I will list a few important ones.

First of all, complaining is only healthy when the consequences of ignoring the concerns are extremely detrimental. Outside of life and death scenarios, shared concerns without any senses of added recourse is essentially making mole hill problems huge mountains.

Moving on, the patterns of these rants showing that outside sources are to be at fault for concerns makes the common ATS rant turns what is supposed to be a rant into an essential petition. These rants aren't looking for change... they're looking for people to agree with the concerns.

As the snowball effect gains momentum, people can't even offer a critique within a rant anymore without poking the sensitivity training that ranters have undergone. The inability to experience and operate in spectrums of vulnerability become more and more difficult.

There's seemingly no end to it either. It's so far gone to this point in time that ignoring, aka ignorance, these difficult concerns ushers any and all debate that may get a bit vulnerable into a group identity marker that is not proper or helpful to one's own concerns that are already over embellished.

I am not sitting here saying I am right either, but at least some action is being put into my keyboard steps from now on. I personally would like to see a shift in standards for these incomplete ATS rants, so it's becoming my new ATS mission.

The common ATS rant is not sharing what people NEED to hear and read... they stall at the point of sharing what one self WANTS others to hear. If that's going to be the standard, I will continue to urge proposed actions while ranting.

Baby Steps forward, or the continued demise of strength by way of unpracticed vulnerabilities... that's what we're up against here.
