At least three people were missing and four others were reportedly transported to hospitals after a massive, ground-shaking explosion occurred Friday night in the suburbs north of Chicago.

Emergency response personnel quickly advised the public to stay away from the area.

The plant is directly across from an emissions testing facility, a witness told the newspaper.

It was leveled," Megan Hener, who lives six blocks from the site, said.

"It shook our house and shook my insides," she added.

Illinois state Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, wrote on Facebook that employees of an unspecified business were inside the building at the time of the explosion, citing information she said she received from Waukegan Mayor Sam Cunningham

Many videos have already surfaced of the incident, mostly from Home surveillance cameras. Although the official story will no doubt become "industrial accident", I personally believe that its just more tit for tat superpower/alphabet agency sabotage , but thats just me conspiracy theorying. Several fatalities already reported.

Edumakated and any other Chicago residents, hopefully you were all comfortably far enough away to be disturbed or discomforted.

How do you know there isn't a secret war going on over face creams and make-up?

I believe its too early to flat out say this explosion was due to anything nefarious. Not saying it wasn't but industrial accidents can and do occur from time to time. This incident happened in Gurnee Illinois which is about 40 miles due north of Chicago proper.
I live just north of O'hare airport and saw this on the local evening news last night. The initial report was it was the Illinois emission control facility in Gurnee. However subsequently it was actually an industrial building across the street. I work in an industrial facility. I'm an industrial color designer which is a fancy way of saying I match lacquer, polyurethane and stain to colors or create systems which achieves a desired color or look for contractors, cabinet makers, woodworkers, architects, and designers etc.
I work with many explosive, corrosive, solvents and chemicals. Very bad things can happen very quickly with disastrous results like this explosion just by being a slight bit careless. Therefore I'm inclined to believe this was due to an error of some sort over some intentional act.

Now that's a blast!

I hope the damage and injury were minimal.

The bottom photo can't be the building that exploded, can it? After a blast powerful enough to shake people in Wisconsin, 10 miles north, the building should be totally gone.

They make silicone .

So I’ll take a guess and say it was a impure load of silica which reacted with Ethel (something) ?

The silicone reacts violently under Nancy Pelosi's skin, but it's well contained.

Good thing it was in an industrial area or the collateral damage would have been huge. Poor people in there mixed something wrong or a massive equipment failure.... I wonder if there is enough evidence left to tell what really happened?

I figured so. My internal censor filters out most of my useless posts, but some slip through.

I don't care for Pelosi one way or another, she means nothing to me but you really should make an effort to construct a proper sentence, especially when your post is designed to make a dig about somebody's intellect. I wonder if her head is the only one that's a vacuum.

That explosion looked huge, if that was someone mixing two chemicals in error I would suggest the military look into applying them to Snell arms I imagine anyone caught in that would have pretty much been vaporised. I hope the human cost is minimal...
