Around 700 children reportedly fell sick after Polio vaccination in Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: At least 700 schoolchildren fell sick after polio vaccination in Peshawar causing an attack on a hospital in city by angry mob, ARY News reported on Monday.

We dont yet know the extent of the injuries.

At this point, we know that the children have experienced vomiting and dizziness after receiving "anti-polio drops".

Based on incidents elsewhere, we can expect that these children will develop polio or an even more deadly condition known as Non-Polio Acute Flaccid Paralysis (NPAFP), a type of polio paralysis which occurred in India after children there received the polio vaccine:

...there has been a huge increase in non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP).

In 2011, there were an extra 47,500 new cases of NPAFP.

Clinically indistinguishable from polio paralysis but twice as deadly, the incidence of NPAFP was directly proportional to doses of oral polio received.

I dont know nor understand the basis, but the "religious" leaders had tried to put a stop to it:

Cleric declares jihad against polio campaign.

www.ndtv.com...

He said she said situation here.

Rejecting the reports on various media outlets linking the children''s condition with the vaccine, he said, "It was reported that children from two private schools in Peshawar fell sick due to the polio vaccine but that is not true. The children are in stable condition."

This might stop happening if big pharma vaccine producers could be sued for the damage and misery they cause. The government would have to get rid of that revolving door and lobbying policy though, those conflicts of interest sometimes end really badly.

Couldnt agree more.

The government has made it illegal to sue vaccine manufacturers for damage caused by their products.

Instead, we're left with this kangaroo court:

FYI: In the US alone, the vaccine "court" has paid over $3.3 BILLION to victims of vaccines..

Can you imagine the monetary damages if they were sued in open court?

Glaxo Agrees to Pay $3 Billion in Fraud Settlement.

If we were allowed to hold them accountable, they would have been bankrupted or forced to make their product safer.

As it is now, there is no incentive to do so.

This happens because a killed-virus vaccine is not used. The attenuated-virus vaccines won out, but they tend to become virulent again in hot climates. I remember reading a report back in the 1970's of a Cuban effort to vaccinate for Polio in Central America, and the same thing happened.

Note: Central America, Pakistan and India, all hot areas.

I'd just like to see a safer product, lawsuits just drive up the costs of everything. Any manufacturer that is sued just transfers the penalty to the consumer. Might be an idea to start jailing CEOs, BODs, etc., if they are going to commit criminal acts or negligence for greed, put them in the big house.

Might want to make lobbying a crime as well, eg, political favours for bribes/money. It not much different from prostitution, sexual favours for bribery/money. If one is illegal, the other should be as well, since lobbyists use political whores to f**k millions of people.

Oh NOES, not Dees Nuts Graphics!... Those are more awful than this!

Oh, btw:

"Despite all our assurances, parents were worried", Inamullah told reporters Tuesday, adding that just two children were still in hospital but expected to be released soon.

PESHAWAR: More than 25,000 children were rushed to hospitals in northwest Pakistan after rumours spread that some had suffered reactions to a polio vaccine, officials said on Tuesday (Apr 23).

Source.

In other news:

In Peshawar, children had now been taken to a hospital allegedly ill after receiving the polio vaccine. Later, Atta pointed out that there was a teacher behind it who had asked the children to report symptoms of nausea and diarrhea. The children were students of the Darul Qalam school, which had allowed vaccination teams for the first time in years.

False alarm. But nice try. You are nearly on the level of the taliban in Pakistan, congrats!

The OP is an anti-vaxxer propagandist.

Don't ask anyone who agrees to read a scientific paper either.

i realise that his requires you to think , BUT :

with 7.5 billion people on this planet - and 10s of millions of piolio vaccinations per year

the fact that :

a single point in a single town in pakistan - has managed in one wekk to produce so many adverse vaccine reactions

you scream " big pharma conspiracy " -

but when the dust settles - its likley that LOCAL missmanaement has caused this

but hey - YMMV

Vaccines are always perfectly safe...just ask Big Pharma and the secret vaccine courts. Amazon has nothing but positive things to say about vaccines as well as they don't allow dissenting opinions.

I say put all the information out their and give people the right to make their own decisions. In some cases the risk is worth the reward and in some it isn't. The problem is Big Pharma and other corporate interests want to shut down discussion and scientific research that might actually expose these risks.

I feel sorry for these children, but we know our Big Pharma likes to experiment on foreign populations in Africa and Asia.

If a vaccine is defective or contaminated they can be sued.
And be aware that this is outside of the USA. Local laws take precedence.

See my post above.
When I last looked, Pakistan was not one of the 50 states so is outside US legislation (yes, there ARE other countries in this world).
If the vaccine was defective the manufacturers can be sued.
If the vaccine was not stored or administrated properly, whoever runs the program there can be sued.

I don't get what you mean.
Why would people in Pakistan have to sue them in an international court?
