For the last two years, Beta Technologies of Vermont has been quietly developing an electric VTOL aircraft that is already in flight testing. Beyond government payload delivery, it appears a driving requirement to common civilian VTOL would be for medical transport.

Beta Technologies looks to be a forerunner in tangible manned electric multirotor development. In addition, there's a different VTOL currently in work by Beta, based on lessons from the Ava XC.

Ahh, I see. Several companys seem to be getting into this kinda tech over the last decade or so. Saw several pretty neat looking personal aircrafts being developed recently. Some looked like large drones with room for 1-4 people that I have seen.

If you want to make a lot of money, now is a good time to create a startup with a few graphs, charts, and CGI images.

If you want to lose a lot of money, now is a great time to invest in one.

Reminds me of a Rutan with whirly spinny kill you blades all over it.

VTOL PAV technology is not a rumor. It will likely start in our lifetimes, as daily transportation for some. This is in contrast from the unfounded rumors of the past.
