Just looked after seeing video of multiple huge protests in major Venezuelan cities against the Maduro Regime. Hardly anything about this on any News outlet.

It just seems odd to me that, regardless of your stance on the crisis in Venezuela, there isn't much being reported on a pretty valid and big story?

Why isn't there more Coverage on a story that seems to be rapidly happening in Venezuela?

How much coverage of a socialist country failing do you expect from a pro socialist American media?

Maduro Regime

Actually the officially elected leader of Venezuela, and if you look hard enough, you'll find plenty of footage of his supporters out and about in Venezuela

In free and fair elections?

To deny that there is a real struggle going on there is to deny reality.

There is a very real struggle going in Venezuela, it's the fight against US imperialism

Seems odd.

Looks to me like they're fighting for toilet paper and food.

CNN?

Do you think US sanctions help, or maybe the CIA in the country? In fact, do you think the US, which has a track record of destroying countries, will help?

It’s because Venezuela is a failed socialist country and most the American media is trying to push socialism over capitalism. They can’t cover the story without exposing socialism’s faults so they just ignore it. I don’t understand why, at this point, people would expect anything more from the MSM.

They decide what you should know so they can manipulate your world view. That’s why so many liberals are convinced we have a police violence on blacks problem when the much more real issue of black on black crime gets ignored and buried.

Gee, for something not getting any news exposure, there sure is a whole lot of people around where I live fully aware of what's going on. Not to mention they're pretty pissed at the possibility of invading Venezuela that's been kicked around for the past 6+ months.

And almost all of South America, Canada and Central America and Europe are in lock step with American Imperialism?

I see you sidestepped the Free and fair election part.

Socialism never fails.

It's always someone else's fault for hyperinflation and complete mismanagement of resources.

Just look at the US National media outlets.

Hardly anything.

Your circle might be different, but it's not even on most Americans radar.

Does someone have to visit somewhere in order to have an opinion now?

Is this a new Leftist rule like "Men can't have an opinion on abortion because they don't get pregnant"?

How’s that going for them?

Socialism sucks.

Hey, at least the usa hasn't made bigger fools of ourselves on the world stage by openly supporting a regime change against a democratically elected president in a sovereign country. I mean if we went that far, everyone will know that our govt is simply a mouthpiece of our corporate overlords.

You must have been in a coma all the other times Western media claimed things against other countries, manufacturing consent is what it's actually called, and when it's a country with oil, then that's why you will be seeing and hearing non-objective stories about Venezuela through your CNN or Fox, or whichever corporate controlled media leads your brain, the US wants the oil and will kill for it, as they have done in the past

Not of question of being correct, if you think the US will help Venezuela in any way, shape or form, then you must have totally ignored history lessons
