..............but as someone with an interest in space it irks me when people deny the bravery and achievement of the men who made the journey and the brilliance of the people who sent them there , and brought them back.

This, I think goes much of the way to explain the younger ones with todays atitudes and their ideas of what is healthy scepticism...there is nothing for them to be a little daring, perhaps even more a little gung ho, which even those astronauts had in bucketloads, instead of what you see today in many young ones who indulge in the science of stupid, and not in the idea of calculated risk and real bravery.
Take for instance the multiple deaths of Chaffee, White and Grissom, they all died....on the fecking ground!
So they died just messing about then eh? is that the logic youth today must conclude if there was no intention of sending astronauts to the Moon....strewth!

There's also the fact that both lunar samples gifted to the dutch are accounted for and look like all the other ones (a few flakes in lucite on a wooden display with the country's flag). So either there was a super secret, undocumented meeting between NASA and Drees wherein before any person outside of NASA was given a moon rock, it was decided by the US government that instead of giving the first moon rock to someone in power who a gift might result in some reciprocation, it was given to a retired politician who was sworn to secrecy as at no point in his life did he ever mention having a moon rock . . .or, a Dutch art museum (the kind that doesn't employ geologists) made a mistake in labeling an exhibit.

The part the hoaxers always love to leave out of the story is that nobody outside of the Rijksmuseum had ever claimed that piece of petrified wood to be a moon rock. www.youtube.com...

Your own source admits it's lying, try harder.

The part of that story you seem to be conveniently leaving out is that that rock was given to the museum by the the family of Willem Drees, NASA never claimed it to be from the moon.
