Makes you wonder if photos like that aren't specifically put out there by those attempting to cover *something* up. I say something because the circumstance/secrecy surrounding the closure (at least one, possibly more) of the observatory is unusual.

Haven't they learned anything since 9/11, Sandy Hook, Boston, Vegas, etc? Leaving out information gives the public/media a chance to fill in the blanks with questionable information (whether accurate or not, the desire to make sense of things is universal)

The other thought is- well- I *can* make a better fake, using (slightly) better equipment and techniques. So can a lot of people.

It's obviously a whistling green shaded stuffed teddy bear head. You can clearly see the light reflection off the two top eyes and a big dark nose in the middle. And the little guy is whistling because his mouth is small and circular. Got some white hair on the chin.

Why do people keep insisting observatories were shut down when all we're talking about is a webcam for all but one of them...? Also, as has been pointed out by numerous people, this person's pics are suspect and taken with an iPhone 8 w/ a lens adapter - not even close to a mediocre setup for taking pics of the sun. Looks like she smudged the lens, and then had a reflection from the adapter.

As for the one actual closure in NM, I think the theory about espionage concerns with White Sands right next door is the most probable one. You wouldn't expect the FBI to shut down the place and run an investigation for a government level conspiracy involving UFO fleets...

I don't buy the UFO bit, but I'm just willing to understand how a lunar transit can appear to "change direction"

Swing a ball on a string over your head. Have someone watch one end of it from a few feet away.

If they look at the ball near one end of your spinning circle, they will see it go one way, then appear to go the opposite direction, back the way it came from.

Pretty easy to get/understand.

When my power comes back on, I'll check the SDO orbit path to confirm this is a simple explanation, that is also correct.
For now, I'm sitting in the middle of Hurricane Florence. I won't be able to double check that one for at least several hours.

Every single time Tyler uploads a video to his channel, a thread appears here about the exact same thing with just enough info given to search and find his channel.

Should also note that Tyler got the info, like all of his other videos, from other sources.

Cams went down. Doesn't mean the entire station did.

I'm real surprised that nobody has figured out what these pictures have in them. These pictures look genuine, and I think that the woman who took them is being genuine about how she got them. The items being reflected in these pictures is the inside of a reflective telescope. The spot in the center is nothing more then the secondary mirror creating the dark spot and the lower side is nothing more then an eye piece refraction.

During my time as a MUFON investigator I saw this so many times I started to just make my own as a way of proving it to people what was going on. Sadly though many people would still insist that we are being invaded by this large "mother-ship".
