We have now identified “Alexander Petrov” to be in fact Dr. Alexander Yevgenyevich Mishkin, a trained military doctor in the employ of the GRU.

Russian defence ministry had a meeting Saturday about the "utter incompetence" that led to GRU agents being exposed in Salisbury & The Hague, the Dossier Centre quotes unnamed sources as saying, predicting a big purge at the GRU in coming days. @MBKhMedia

Of course not. The whole world is laughing at the Russians and Putin's lying face. The Russian propaganda machine, such as Russia Today, and the army of internet trolls have been left trying to make out it's all a joke. Unfortunately, the joke's on Putin. I agree with you, this failed mission has now made Putin and the GRU look like a joke. Lets hope some of it gets through to the people of Russian, and a few members on here also get to read the bellingcat site, and they see for themselves what a real scumbag, and nasty piece of work Putin really is!!

Remember the Russian who claimed that he was just an innocent civilian and that his name was Ruslan Boshirov? During 2017 he and his family attended a wedding under their real surname Chepiga. The same Chepiga that was awarded the Hero of the Russian Federation. Putin has some explaining to do!

Anatoliy Chepiga – attended the 2017 wedding of the daughter of the GRU unit’s commander. (The GRU unit commander is Maj. General Andrey Averyanov) The latter allegation is highly relevant in view of official Moscow’s continued denials – including personally by President Putin – that Anatoliy Chepiga – who traveled to Salisbury under the alias of “Ruslan Boshirov” – was anything more than a civilian with no links to the Russian state.
