Steve Schmidt who has been on a big MSNBC/CNN contributor circuit since 2016? It seems both agencies been using this same title to create some kind of legitimacy as to what he is saying to mean anything at all.

You would have had a better leg to stand on with a name like Jennifer Rubin or George Will or Bill Kristol. Jennifer Rubin would be close to someone you would have luck with. She's been off her rocker, but she verbally pays lip service to being a conservative.

I've been following conservative politics for a long, long time and I have never, ever heard of Max Boot before you brought him up, not even in passing from someone else. Most conservatives will reference other conservatives whom they think have arguments of consequence.

If your conservative isn't even someone the others find worth talking about, then he's not a very good example of a conservative.
