Spiderbot...This Was Almost Too Strange

UFO's, ghosts, Samsquanches, cryptids, etc. Been there, done that.
I would like to hope this was some sort of hallucination, but damned if it didn't seem real.
I was sleeping on a rock under a foot-bridge in Austin next to Shoal Creek.
I was woken by something scurrying across my chest.
I brushed at it, assuming it to be a cockroach.
When I opened my eyes, there was what appeared to be a jumping-spider the size of a medium-sized tarantula.
It was dark. There was only moonlight.
My first thought was "Damn...I didn't know they got that big."
It hopped back, staring at me.
Then it scurried right up close and threw its front legs up in a defensive pose.
Then it got really weird.
A pair of counter-rotating "appendages" that resembled those piercing bars people stick through their tongues and belly buttons popped out.
A thin rod with a ball on each end.
I just stared at it with an odd absence of reaction.
It whirred it's little thingy-bobbers for a few seconds and then hopped away.
I was just like...umm...what the sh!t was that?
And then fell back to sleep.

My big question is, why were you sleeping on a rock under a foot-bridge?

We get spiders like that here in the south. They don't build webs preferring to hide among items on the ground.

They can get very large. Like size of a grown mans hand large, but they are harmless.

I have been homeless and I love camping so waking up to a large spider on me is something I know a lot about lol.

Uhm... well, advanced insect-bots have been seen, supposedly, and their existence is logical... but why would any govt agency or evil corporation be monitoring you under a bridge? A chance encounter? Looking for an escaped DARPA physicist rumored to be bussing in the underbelly of Austin? A sleep to waking hallucination?

Dunno Skunky, the fae-realm has it's orange eyes on you, it seems.

Or maybe some kind cyber-biologist found a damaged wolf spider and made it better, faster, stronger?

I have had the same dream and then woke up peeing in the trash can.
Also had a girlfriend sleepwalk into the closet and piss on the floor.

Well that’s an interesting one, let me ask you this if it was just some type of antenna like protrusion with a ball on the end what do you mean by it “whirred around”? Was it rotating like a radar? Did you hear anything audible the size and description sounds like a possible trap door spider.

I’ve had it happen both ways I’m a sleep walker and whizzer when I was 12 or so I slept walked to the non existent hallway bathroom and commenced my fire mission my mom heard what she thought was rain and came in to ask me what I was doing and I said something along the lines of “I’m going to the bathroom get out Mom!” Thought it was a dream but nope in the morning my mom told me about it, luckily it was a tile floor.

I encountered the mechanical bots' realm during an excursion with "the spirit molecule", apparently it's not an uncommon occurrence.

They were spinning perpendicular to the legs. Never seen or heard of anything like that in nature. It did make me think of some sort of radar.

Okay not trying to stomp ya down here but if this protrusin was straight and just had a ball on the top how did you discern the rotation? Did this protrusion apear biological or mechanical? What would be your estimate of the rough size of said protrusion the height, the width of the rod, and the ball?

If you think that's scary, watch this huge dog spider. I had to LMAO after watching this video. I think anybody seeing this would be running for their life. Guaranteed to give you a laugh.

That videos of pretty non existent quality from what I can gather.

sleeping beneath the stars is all well and good but bugs and critters are problematic.
