They are cute

Evidently discovered a few years ago across Australia but new to me
Make a noise a bit like a cricket if you ask me but a rattle snake tarantula sounds somewhat cooler than a cricket tarantula

I think I'll continue to avoid the continent entirely, thanks. With everything there already wanting to kill you, I don't trust this new tarantula one iota.

God I love my country, man up or stay home lol.
I spend a lot of time out bush prospecting for gold and if I started worrying about all these ugly little killer kritters behind every stone and rock I'd be a nervous wreck and never find a thing. Haven't been bitten yet(knock on wood!)...
Try to make asuch noise walking as I can though to scare of the king brown snakes, red belly black snakes, taipan's plus a couple the names of which escape me but they'll chase ya if you catch em in a bad mood, and they're bloody quick!
(Just don't mention the drop bears....)

That thread this morning lol.

Did you hear about the rabbi (mohel) who collected the foreskins he cut off and made them into a wallet?
When you rub it, it turns into a suitcase.

WhaDaFuq? I'm convinced Australia was a nuclear waste dump for aliens like gazillion years ago before modern man. This is the only explanation for your crazy azzed wild life down there...

I nearly sprayed my computer with coffee thanks
for the laugh.

I nearly missed the joke because I was avoiding the thread cause snakes and tarantulas are to be avoided especially when the merge.

Why ?
The US has its very own share of very deadly creatures. All underrated by the so-called experts.
And , Australia is a beautiful place to visit.

My tarantula died a month ago at 14 years old and I'm in the market for a new one. I love spiders they are very entertaining if you have the right mind state. I love the idea of one who rattles.

“So the species isn't named yet; we needed the DNA confirmation.”

I shall name it Morris.
