Not another imigration thread!!!!

This topic is primarily a dog whistle, and had the MSM not made it into the fiasco it is, most would have no idea about any of it.

But why is it an issue? Well, It seems Trump initiated a "Zero Tolerance" policy regarding the border. It's a bit funny that nobody bothered to ask why? Is Trump just a dick? Perhaps. But this seems like a lot of work for no reason. It seems he is trying to enforce border security. And by playing hardball, with the criminals who would cross illegally, he is sending a message for them not to try. The wall (the same one democrats wanted a few years ago) doesn't look like a reality. I'd like to see more security used, like cameras, drones, towers, and infra red sensors. I think the "metaphorical" wall is a great idea. Physical in places, and electronic in others. But my opinion means nothing.

Is Trump right for wanting better security on the border, or should we just open up the borders and worry about bad things after they happen?

After hearing all about how wrong everyone who isn't a democrat is, it got me thinking. What if some of these people who are so vocal about what they don't like, had ideas to fix it. After all, if all you have is complaints, you are useless from the start. Once you start offering solutions, you start to become an asset. So let's hear the solutions. How do we fix the immigration problem?

Trump is 100% right in wanting order at the border but we have to do it as per the constitution.

Ramping up the fake ass excuses like rape and drug smuggling in an attempt to garner faux outrage is not gonna work.

IMO migration is an earthly function that can be regulated but not stopped without serious earthly consequences.

I actually agree with this.

The one person I want to hear from is “Silly”. She loves to post anti-Trump BS, but never offers a solution to the actual problem. I wold love to see her contribute something meaningful in this thread other than faux outrage.

President Trump meets families who have been "separated", due to Illegal aliens killing them intentionally, or unintentionally..like drunk driving.

Kids separated from their law-breaking parents for a short time at the border is NOTHING by comparison.

Criminal- someone who breaks laws.

Laws- rules set by a countries people to fix problems that were important enough to warrant official action.

Those are the definitions as I understand them, feel free to post what you think they mean, and we might find out why you think like you do.

I agree, but we have people actively risking their life to come here, if we can't fix where they are coming from, we will have to find a way to deal with them when they arrive.

And since we can't take care of the entire planet, I'm not sure we will be able to fix why they are leaving.

Someone on another thread mentioned annexing Mexico. We could create 5 or 6 states out that plus let California split up and we can put a whole new row of stars on the flag.

While not realistic, it would be a good way to solve the problem. We've got some states with big areas of mostly Spanish speaking people already (south Florida, Southern California, etc.). I don't mind being a bi-lingual country actually. Send our troops to Mexico instead of the middle east and clean out the cartels. That alone could improve the living conditions in that country. The downside is we'd have to build the wall at the southern Mexico border.

Ramping up the BS emotional sob stories like babies "yelling papa papa!" and some poor sod offing himself cuz he got caught in an attempt to undermined logic and facts. because Edward Bernays taught PR firms that emotion overrides logic... that's the only reason this is an issue at all. Media companies want ratings so they tug at emotions to foment manufactured outrage.
