Watched many an episode of the original when I was a kid back in the 80s.

Higgins is no longer a stuffy old British guy...Higgins is now a hot younger British woman...

And the ferrari..."I need a new car"...

That was one of my favorite shows back in the day.
I will probably check it out, but I think this was one of the shows that didn’t need to be remade with that kind of far fetched action in it.
I mean, come on....put Bruce Willis in that trailer and you have another Die Hard sequel. LOL

Ridiculous "Mission Impossible" style action sequences. Strike 3


Also, why do studios feel the need to put every highlight into the trailer? I feel like I just saw the whole pilot in three minutes.

At least the Ferrari 308 makes an appearance.

Eh, this trailer isn't doing anything for me. I do love hearing that theme song back in action though!

I suppose Higgins and Magnum will at some point become an item...? Utterly ridiculous...

Loved Magnum shudder at the thought of a reboot , no Selleck no Magnum.
A female Higgins ? ...

Why attempt to trade off of the name rather than just create a new show ? .... oh yeah , because it's easy.
This is why I don't watch TV anymore.


There's only one Magnum.

The problem is, if you grew up with the original, it´s hard to see anybody else act as the original characters. I bet the series is ok, but couldn´t they have named it different and couldn´t the characters have other names? Then they even could sell it as a complete new series.

I watched Lethal Weapon not long ago, the series. And was surprised how good it is, imo. The only problem is, that aren´t Murtaugh and Riggs but Wayans and Crawford. Instead of Glover and Gibson, which are the real Murtaugh and Riggs. That is the only problem i have when i watch that series. Could be solved if they gave that series and the characters just other names, would have made the series even better!

And then, Higgins now a woman, too much metoo and PC stupidity.
As i say, just other names for series and characters, and everything would be fine.

I can honestly say I've never seen any MacGuyver , not sure it was shown much over here although I guess the reboot wasn't a scratch on the original , unless it bucked the trend.

Just checked google , seems it didn't buck the trend.

You can't remake Magnum while Magnum is playing New Yorks top cop in Blue Bloods.

People will get confused.

I was gonna say at least Herc is in it, but then they go and kill him off in the trailer.

You can't have Magnum without the pornstasche. I was remotely interested into I noticed there was nowhere for the birds to nest on his upper lip.

The whole point of Magnum was a testosterone boys club. It was a classic 80's "babe of the week" show. To remake it as something else is just a complete slap in the face to the original.

This new guy totally lacks the masculinity Sellec exudes.

And Higgins as a gal? That changes the whole foil relationship between Magnum and Higgins. It was more like a father/son thing....now it's a will they or won't they thing.... No, just no.

And then they go and smash a Ferrari... Just....not fair.
