I miss the ATS'er who used to keep tabs on these. For your (dis)enjoyment, SNL's opener from last night. Little Easter egg for the Q fans as well.

Mildly funny but usual satire.

Sadly the link doesnt work in Australia but I was able to find a copy.

Its just not funny, its not satirical or insightful its just a hit piece.
I cant imagine anyone even giggling let alone actually laughing at it.
The only way I can see anyone enjoying it is with a wicked sneer on their face getting off on the fact its bashing Trump.

More garbage propaganda brought to you by the enemies of the American people, the MSM

I thought that was kind of funny. No Trump heads on a pole. Although in the end there was a little talk about Trump's head of his pole, that is different.

Funny as HELL! Used to clear Sat. nights to get together /w friends and catch the original SNL's with Belushi, Chase, Ackroyd, Murray, Newman, Radner, Curtin and Morris!

The cold opens were always top notch and on the pulse of what America was thinking.. Agreeing or not. It was rhe irony in thought, not insult.. to the beat of each week's events.

Put this one right up there....! Ya gotta at least smile if you're not laughing...

I thought everyone was funny except Stormy, she's right, she can't act.

What fun. You have an affair with someone it gets into the news, you get paid off,

And then you're a celebrity. No talent, just the fact you spread your legs for some rich bastard.

I want to get off this stupid planet.

I do miss the ol' days of SNL. Don't know if it's the nostalgia or if it was just the right time but it was genuine humor.

The Juliani impersonation was great.

To be fair, I'm sure she fakes it well....enough!

Presidential cold openers and skits have been part and parcel of SNL since it's inception. Funny or not, it is still political satire given the context upon which it is presented. I found some of these funny, some not, and the laughs (for me ) never fell upon any party lines. If it's intended as satire, then someone will laugh, someone will take offense.

To those complaining, if you found it not amusing to you, so be it. No need to disparage those who do. And, vice-verse, because not everyone has (or should have) the same interpretation of funny and humor.

Sheesh....

Oh, and both Republican and Democratic parties were satirized.......

I browsed a porn site the other day without an ad blocker and saw several adverts from Stormy, anyone who takes her seriously in any way what so ever is lacking brain cells, clearly she is motivated by money more than anything... and anyone who thinks SNL is funny to begin with has a questionable sense of humor.

That Bernie impression was spot on! Great acting.

Was that Bob Odenkirk? At first glance I was thinking definitely. The more I watched though he started to look not so Bob-ish.

Poor brain dead Stormy. Just can't realize the left is playing her like a piano. And when Trump's lawyers shred her and get the 20 million dollar judgement then her financial backers are going to disappear. Because if they pay the judgement then they become liable for interference with a legal agreement. Then the big damages kick in.

I'm guessing they are going to leave her twisting in the wind. On the hook for all of it.

Tortious interference.

That's it JinMI.... It was always spot on to events of the week. A minute or 2 to laugh and see the ridiculousness of what we see as important.

To be sure.... they do encompass serious issues.... But the cold opens always made us think. Still does!

Thanks!

I voted for Trump.

Baldwin's impersonation is often funny, not always.

Stormy isn't, at all. Then again, not really her strong suit. I've seen her in her "element" too....nothing impressive there either. Not a big fan of RBF porn stars (resting b*tch face).

Just amazing though, that anyone gives a damn about a billionaire banging a porn star 12 years ago. Oh my! How shocking!

Yawn....
