You just think you don't give away your data. What are you doing here?

Right on cue from a thread I did this morning.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
Here again we see people shocked at this bombshell, that a right wing source used a very small fraction of facebook data to influence elections.
Nevermind that Facebook itself is in cahoots with the democrats, as even Obama staffers have admitted.
Same old song and dance.
ijr.com...
Just like a few thousand twitter bots is a huge deal that stole an election, but the people that run twitter censoring conservatives and being in the bag for democrats is perfectly ok.
So I assume that all of the people saying this is a big deal are also outraged at Facebook itself exponentially larger datamining efforts that they use to influence elections for democrats and other left wing parties.
I look forward to your calls for ending Facebook doing this, and decrying their censorship of conservative voices!
End facebook.
Happy now?
I don't use it, or twitter, or any of the other sites that give away my data.
So make them all go away for all I care. Maybe help things in the long run.
I dont use any of them either.
In fact, while I find the data mining troubling, i dont see it as the huge problem others do, on either side.
If people want to willingly give up their info, so be it. I think that companies should have to be more transparent about how that data is used, but other than that, if people want to voluntarily post that info, its on them.
I just find the selective outrage hilarious, we have known for years that Facebook did all of this to favor democrats and the left, but it was no big deal. Now a group that looks scummy working for republicans does this, and its an outrage, even though they only have access to a small fraction of the data Facebook itself uses to help the dems.
It would be like having proof that the entire NFL was biased against the Patriots and being ok with it, but then becoming furious to find out one ref actually favored the patriots.

I am just learning about this, so please give me some slack. I am just trying to hit some speed before I commit to full throttle, flaps down.
Give me a few day to read, and I can discuss from a point of some knowledge.
Looking forward to it.
Thanks

The bottom line seems to be that ...
Robert Mercer hired C/A to .. y'know,...
help "The Donald"
C/A seems to do this very scary well.
Next time the opposition could hire them.
Only if you operate from the premise that there was no way Hillary could have lost unless Trump cheated.
Face it. She was quite possibly the worst candidate ever fielded in history, so bad even Trump could beat her.

More so, Fusion GPS rival? The underworld is being lifted and turned over.

I, unlike many anti trump people have been consistent on this.
I think that bots on any side are not a big deal.
I think that data mining on either side are not a big deal.
However, if you do think that these are a big deal, and have a problem with a company using a fraction of the data facebook uses to help their political allies, then you are a partisan cheerleader.

Just pointing out that anyone who uses the internet for any reason leaves a trail.
I do internet research as part of my job, and the things I look for at work will follow me home in ads. it's pretty obvious how sensitive the datamining tools are.

You do realize that Mercer didn't have to "bankroll" a billionaire.
Trump actually took very few personal campaign contributions.
Mercer originally backed Cruz, for instance. Then swapped to Trump when Cruz dropped out.
Because, you know, they are allowed to back the candidate that they wanted to win.
Zuckerburg, for instance, owns Facebook. He is a scrEAming white hot example of a liberal. So he used his company to datamine the whole planet and gave the information to Obama. Then wrote software that would undermine, hide and soft-censor conservative opinion. His company would place ads and news stories that were liberal-biased above anything conservative. He was programming our whole society.
That's OK though, right?
Google's business model is datamining. If you own a google app on your phone, it knows where you are. It puts your location of where you go on google's cloud. It finds where you eat, where you play, what you buy. Then it sends you marketing messages targeted to get money out of your pocket. This isn't a conspiracy... you can log into google and look at where you have been the last few years. It's OK if a a self-professed liberal company does this. It's brilliant!!
BUT... if a conservative obtains information on their possible voters.... impeach, impeach, impeach.
Please please please keep pushing this narrative.
Even people's pets are now running from the democratic party.

Everyone is acting like Cambridge Analytica is the only company that mined and used Facebook data. I am fairly certain this is a regular practice for most companies. Facebook is a treasure trove of data, freely given by its users.

Do they have any evidence that Trump or any of his top campaign people directed any illegal actions or knew about them?
