Bottom line: YouTube is a private corporation that is in the business of making money. They will do what they need to do to make money, and do what they need to do to avoid fines and legal fees. Alex Jones is a walking libel suit.

They just don't want what they consider the wrong audience. Nor do they want to go against their masters.

Face it, that's all this is.

They removed the strike after pressure.

Infowars still can not live stream. Youtube rejected an appeal to one of their censored BS fake strikes.

The MSM is ratcheting up for 2020 election, youtube is doing test runs on censorship. When 2020 comes around, there will be no Alex Jones like channels, pro gun..conservatives videos etc.... That is unless someone puts a stop to it.

I believe in the past, youtube claimed itself as a public utility.... therefore people could sue their pants off.

They were at 2 strikes on the Stasi register, now back down to 1.
I think even at 1, the 3-week ban on new uploads remains in place.
Agree, though, the push to remove dissenting voices is an effort to clear the playing field for media control and propaganda in preparation for the 2018 midterms. It's not just Infowars, tens of thousands of accounts are being purged from Youtube and Twitter.

I can tell you have never lived in a country where the government really did exercise censorship. Alex Jones has a nightly radio show where he makes outrageous accusations against the government and he has never gotten the knock at the door in the middle of the night. Your hyperbole is shameful. YouTube is for kids who want to show off their skateboard tricks, not serious discussions of matters of state.

They didn't ban Prager university.

They applied age restrictions on a small number of their videos.

Good point.

Jones is living proof that the US doesn't have censorship.

Youtube is for kids who want to show off skateboarding tricks? Interesting must let them know.

I live in the UK - plenty of censorship throughout our history. Usually when leftists are running the govt.
We are, however, not talking about the govt. Youtube and Twitter are censoring conservative political views. They can do it, of course, but it shows that the left can't compete when it comes to actual debate, so they 'book burn'.

I hadn't even realised they are censoring videos from Prager about conservatism! Will be interesting to see how this plays out in court.

Since we don't actually know why Prager University cannot post their videos on YouTube, we can only take their word that it has something to do with "conservatism." They may be in violation of some obscure T&Cs for all we know. Whenever the right finds itself on the wrong side of the rules of debate, they accuse the left of "book burning." Let's see how the lawsuit goes, shall we? After all, you are always such a stickler about not jumping to conclusions.

Censorship laws in the UK have almost always been brought in by the Conservatives. Perhaps you remember the spectacle of Gerry Adams being dubbed?

I did not know that Queen Elizabeth I, Margaret Thatcher, and Winston Churchill were leftists.

I know you werent talking to me but, I use to watch a lot of his videos on there, and for a time they were banned.

why? Because gov and constitutional information should be age restricted? Why in the world would you age restrict information they SHOULD, be learning in middle and highschool, or that desiminnate fact from fiction.

Surely you can see how ridiculous that is, its blatant attempt at censorship, because the views are "conservative"

And just FYI they WERE banned, they have only recently been moved to the "age restricted" category.

There are age restriction on videos with names like:

How Iraq Was Won and Lost Is Fascism Right or Left?
Why Do People Become Islamic Extremists?
The "Anti-Hate" Group That Is a Hate Group
Gun Rights Are Women's Rights
Why America Must Lead
The Least Diverse Place in America
If You Live in Freed, Thank the British Empire
College Made Me a Conservative
Gun Rights Are Women's Rights
Gender Identity: Why All the Confusion?
Is the Death Penalty ever Moral?
Why Did the Democratic South Become Republican?
What's Wrong with E-Cigarettes?

And so many more, meanwhile you can watch , at will, Youtube celebrities filming dead bodies in forests , or cussing up a storm or any other debauchery, and they dont age restrict them.

But Im sorry, I guess I am just trying to appeal to common sense and the blatant hypocrisy
