Dirt is dirt. I could care less the source. One's opponents are always the most likely to come up with incriminating information and that doesn't make such information meaningless.
Ok then trump can make up dirt on all of the democrats and spy on them all.
Of course you would be outraged at that.

Oh the Grassley and nunes memo are just all lies.
athere is no way any of it could be true, its all just garbage.
Oh wait, whats that. a member of Obamas state department has now admitted to now only meeting with steele about the dossier and passing that info to John Kerry (the sec. of State), but alos admitted that he gave steele info from Hillary operative Sid Blumenthal that came from another clinton operatice Cody Shearer that Steele took to the FBI?
In the summer of 2016, Steele told me that he had learned of disturbing information regarding possible ties between Donald Trump, his campaign and senior Russian officials. He did not provide details but made clear the information involved “active measures,” a Soviet intelligence term for propaganda and related activities to influence events in other countries.
In September 2016, Steele and I met in Washington and discussed the information now known as the “dossier.” Steele’s sources suggested that the Kremlin not only had been behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign but also had compromised Trump and developed ties with his associates and campaign.
I was allowed to review, but not to keep, a copy of these reports to enable me to alert the State Department. I prepared a two-page summary and shared it with Nuland, who indicated that, like me, she felt that the secretary of state needed to be made aware of this material.
In late September, I spoke with an old friend, Sidney Blumenthal, whom I met 30 years ago when I was investigating the Iran-contra affair for then-Sen. Kerry and Blumenthal was a reporter at The Post. At the time, Russian hacking was at the front and center in the 2016 presidential campaign. The emails of Blumenthal, who had a long association with Bill and Hillary Clinton, had been hacked in 2013 through a Russian server.
While talking about that hacking, Blumenthal and I discussed Steele’s reports. He showed me notes gathered by a journalist I did not know, Cody Shearer, that alleged the Russians had compromising information on Trump of a sexual and financial nature.
What struck me was how some of the material echoed Steele’s but appeared to involve different sources.
On my own, I shared a copy of these notes with Steele, to ask for his professional reaction. He told me it was potentially “collateral” information. I asked him what that meant. He said that it was similar but separate from the information he had gathered from his sources. I agreed to let him keep a copy of the Shearer notes.
Given that I had not worked with Shearer and knew that he was not a professional intelligence officer, I did not mention or share his notes with anyone at the State Department. I did not expect them to be shared with anyone in the U.S. government.
But I learned later that Steele did share them — with the FBI, after the FBI asked him to provide everything he had on allegations relating to Trump, his campaign and Russian interference in U.S. elections.

For those of y9ou that dont know, Shearer and Blumenthal are known clinton Operatoves that are considered some of the shadiest characters in Washington.
Heres a little tidbit.
Shearer was last in the news in 2015, when a bombshell ProPublica report on hacked emails from longtime Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal revealed that the longtime Clinton confidant and aide was running a “secret spy network” network feeding Clinton information on, among other things, Benghazi and Libya while she was secretary of State. Recall that Blumenthal is a known liar and rumormonger so disreputable that the Obama White House put their foot down and nixed her attempt Blumenthal at the State Department.

Well it turns out Grassleys memo was roght about this.
Steele was taking dirt from hillarys own team that was funneled through Obamas state department and giving ot top the FBI that was using it for the investigation into trump.
100% proven, confirmed by the state department member that did it.
Are people starting to see how corrupt thhis whole investigation is? Its not enough that Hillarys team was paying for the dossier, but they were actually feeding steele info through the state dept to be included in his statements to the fbi.
While I’m personally loving the drip drip of dem corruption I can’t say people like you or I am surprised by it. Maybe this slow death will actually open the more hardend Dems eyes to their parties corruption.
If there was even a fraction of this type of evidence of Russian collusion I would have long been pissed about it. Where are there people who claim to be Liberltarians outrage at this obvious corruption?

There's more than enough proof that the Obama administration, Hillary, and the DNC committed crimes while in office.
There was enough evidence that the Bush Jr Administration, Dick Cheney, and the CIA committed crimes while in office.
You can put together all the proof you want but it won't change the fact those elected to power are now officially above the law. They always said justice was blind but that's an understatement. She's not only blind as a goddamn bat but missing as far as Washington, DC is concerned. These investigations may rid us of some crooked agents but won't remove the corrupt politicians. Each party claiming the other is corrupt while both trample on our Constitution. This site proves daily that even remarkably intelligent people will eat whatever #-sandwich of a story their party feeds them like cult members. Please understand this is all about keeping or gaining congressional seats in the next election and nothing else. Forest for the trees..
Cody Shearer, an American political operative with ties to the Democratic Party, has been crisscrossing Eastern Europe for more than six months to secure the purported kompromat from a different Russian, said people familiar with the efforts, speaking on the condition of anonymity to avoid damaging their relationship with him. Reached by phone late last year, Mr. Shearer would say only that his work was “a big deal — you know what it is, and you shouldn’t be asking about it.” He then hung up.
Mr. Shearer’s efforts grew out of work he first began during the 2016 campaign, when he compiled a pair of reports that, like the dossier, also included talk of a video and Russian payoffs to Trump associates. It is not clear what, if anything, Mr. Shearer has been able to purchase.

If you look closely at this thread you will understand that there are a goodly number of us who are not partisan. There are a whole bunch of us who see, as you do, that the last three decades have been under the control of the Bush/Clinton Crime Syndicate.
At some point in the past we realized that Dems and Repubs were simply different wings of the same vulture. We're all for just cleaning up the place and let the chips fall where they fall---don't care whose little cartoon symbol resides beside their name.
You might be right that nobody will go down this time either but those of us who care about good government are doing what we can, in our small ways, to make sure that we don't hand this mess off to our children and grandchildren with some toss-off phrase like, "Doesn't mean anything---nothing is going to change."
Of course, if that is your attitude nothing will change. It takes hard work over a long time to root out corruption that is as firmly entrenched as this bunch. I know this from personal experience with a local government that was rife with it. They will deny you public records, threaten you with arrest and call you the "lunatic fringe" for daring to question what went on in the secret meetings. But with persistence in hard work and honesty in taking it to the people you CAN SEE CHANGES made. In our area only a couple of the people involved went to jail but the rest lost their lofty positions when the truth came out. If you tell people the truth MOST of them will gravitate to the truth. Those that cling to party are the minority when shown that the dishonesty they've supported has cost them greatly.
Are people starting to see how corrupt this whole investigation is?

3 longtime friends and associates of the Clintons were feeding information to a British agent
to compile a report that was used by Obama's administration to investigate their political opponent during a general election,
whilst failing to tell a FISC judge the source of the information when gaining a warrant to spy on a member of their opponents' campaign.

OK.
Guy works at State Department.
He gets information that a Presidential campaign might be working with the Russian Government.
He gets some information from Steele.
Gets some information from another guy (Former or Current Clinton "Operative")
