Yes, both antifa and the nazi's are on the left. Just read through their platforms.

ANTIFA are communists. Nazi's are socialists. Some of the most brutal fights in 1920's-1930's Germany were between the communists and the socialists.

But you're not interested in actually understanding the ideologies behind both of them, you're interested in one liner's. So here: if fascism is on the right how can anti-fascism be on the right, too?
If nazi's call themselves national socialists, is socialism a right wing ideology?

"Antifa" are not all communists, Antifa is a decentralised synthesis of people, mainly socialists, communists, anarchists, and others. "Antifa" is not a political identity on its own

Communism and socialism destroyed themselves. There will never be Star Trek land where there is no money, everyone follows the prime directive, everyone contributes equally and shares equally. That will never happen. There will always be those with good intentions putting forth all the effort and there will always be those with no intentions putting forth zero effort, all being treated equal at the food line. But most importantly, there will always be those with evil intentions who will use and abuse all the others. Fair to mention that there will always be those that worship a deity or god other than the State. There will always be differences and categories of people that also do not mix very well with any type of government where all are supposed to be treated the same.

10,000 years from now, if there is an Earth, there may be so much mixing of the genes that everyone looks overly similar, like Vulcans or Romulans. Perhaps then, when all have blue hair and orange skin, perhaps concepts like equal, same, share, peace, there is no god only the great committee, doctor gets 2 pieces of pie : farmer gets 2 pieces of pie, maybe then.

Until such a time it will be the have nots wanting what the haves have. The doers reaping and not wanting to hand over to the idle. The segregation of dozens of groups not being into what the other groups are into and therefore staying away from each other - and politicians taking advantage of that.

In a nutshell, social/commune isms are forever divided and conquered.

ps. I always thought the problem with liberalism was the word liberal, which means everything in large quantities, like government and handouts. That's always a bad idea. I don't think liberalism was conjugated from the word liberty.

Well, "liberal" used to mean that you went for a liberal interpretation of the Constitution, hoping to stretch various points to get what you think is important while still hanging on to the "general gist" of the thing. A conservative would prefer to hold as close as possible to the Constitution as they believe it was written and intended.

YEP!! here I am a Libertarian who agrees with his analysis... that is why I call them "lefty's" so much. The are totalitarian not liberal. I want my proper definition back...... It only benefits the cabal to allow them to change the meaning of the word and then use it to steal the minds of it's victims.

The problem is that "liberalism" was hijacked by the left several decades ago. BTW, it wasn't that long ago that former President Ronald Reagan said.

You can't make "great again" a philosophy that has been changed for several decades into something completely different. Liberalism cannot be saved, and the left made certain of it.

Leftists always talk cr2p about America and burn the American flag. But all the atrocities throughout history was done by Democrats. Bunch of nutcases.... If it weren't for the right, we would be living in NAZI America right now. Hitler got his ideas from the Democrat party.

Not stereotypical. like all Liberals want to take all guns away, raise taxes, protect the environment, offer free college and all conservatives want to shrink government, lower taxes, allow guns to everyone, increase military spending and put the ten commandments in every court house and ban abortion.

Is that all we're about anymore? That's why I'm an independent. It allows you to want to protect the environment and own a gun and want lower taxes...all at the same time, while allowing gay marriage and wanting term limits on congressmen. LOL

Throughout the rest of the world and history, "liberal" and "liberalism" have different meanings. Things such as freedom of speech, separation of church and state, free markets, free inquiry, individualism, and so on, are markedly liberal ideals.

How 'free' are these markets?

Do you speak of economic liberalism and the theories of Adam Smith? The idea that humans have an inherent tendency to care about the well-being of others for no other reason than the pleasure one gets from seeing them happy, or do you speak of the free market economy of the United States which more resembles crony capitalism?
