You don't have the ability to research it yourself? Or was it merely rhetorical?

No need to be concerned about my welfare and no, it's not light out.

Was asking if anybody knew off the top of their head if more Democrats or Republicans have left office, or dropped out of a race, due to sex-related scandals. Since no one chimed in with the answer, I'll research it later this evening.

I guess removing daylight savings time really shortened the days for you too. I wish we could keep DST year-around. It seems to get dark earlier every year. Maybe the Earth is wobbling more.

Just happened in utah just a couple of months ago.

Of course you’ve heard of the Kennedy crime family?? Or how about the first black president Bill Clinton?? Not in the GOP, but nice try at a deflection a reply to: Deaf Alien

Uh Fox News is the one who defends Roy Moore. Please keep up.

Attorney/Host Brett Bayer of FoxNews says that he's "followed" Roy Moore for 30 years. Said tonight that Moore ignores a lot of laws, and is an embarassment to the Republican party. Has been for decades. But Alabama voters like him, so...

Well that's good you are not being partisan about it.

I'm rarely partisan just for the sake of it. Only robots do what they're told. (Most times)

Well that's good. We sometimes need to sit back and look at the whole thing.
Fox News is in panic mode right now because Roy Moore is a Republican.
One article on there basically say "the right is good because the left is bad."

I don't know how the top executives at FoxNews feel about Roy Moore, but the on-air people are all over the place. If you keep it on most of the day/night like I do, you'll see that they are in 3 camps.

Doesn't ring a bell.

Kirk now...quite the molester. But they liked it.

He loves the green women.

Orion females release pheromones that act as an intoxicant on Human males. Kirk couldn't help it.

Galactic Viagra. Only available to warp-capable males.

Why the accusations out of all sudden? Even they claimed that a woman got offered by a WaPo journalist $1000 for falsely accusing Roy Moore.

I don't know. But accusations are EASY. If these ladies had reported the assault to the Montgomery Star newspaper, they would NOT have been taken seriously. But because the Washington Post is in D.C., the poor bastard is guilty until he can prove his innocence. It's sick.

If one files a formal charge and wants a court date, then we're probably looking at honesty on the woman's part.

For some reason, McConnell/McCain/Murkowski want Roy Moore to resign. They didn't say that he's "innocent until proven guilty". Moore is up against the same formidable wall of bi-partisan dislike that President Trump has had to deal with, since before he was elected.

Just why the hell does this matter?

Because Deaf Alien said (back on page 1) that the GOP has a lot of people with sex-crime issues.

That's interesting. Rob Miller dropped out soley over an accusation. Perhaps his heart really wasn't it the race to begin with.

You're probably right. Miller was pretty far up the Utah ladder already. It's not like he changed his mind about politics.

At the rate we're going, there will be more assaulters and victims in Hollywood, than there will be people who haven't been a violator or a victim.

The ugly truth is that it's much bigger than just Hollywood. This is a world-wide problem...and what happens to children is a horror beyond.

At this rate, they're going to have so many claims, they'll never be able to sort out the real from the false.

That's my worry with all this coming out.
I wonder who's being outed tomorrow?

Heard about the accusations of Hope Solo against Blatter, that he touched her butt.
What if it would be the other way around, who would scream if a woman touches a mans butt?

While Shawn Mendes was being interviewed on the iHeartRadio red carpet last Sunday night, Katy Perry walked by and decided to grab his butt. Now the awkward exchange, which you can watch below, is raising serious questions among fans about double standards and sexual harassment.

Video of the incident shows that Shawn was mid-interview when he became distracted and looked behind him. "Someone was just touching my butt," he explained apologetically. "Sorry." When Shawn and the two interviewers realized who it was, they all laughed. "Oh, it was Katy Perry who was touching my butt," Shawn said, putting a hand to his chest in surprise. "I should have turned around." Shawn tried to brush it off, explaining that he was a huge fan of Katy. But he remained visibly shook, unable to resume his conversation. "Sorry, I'm just stunned," he told the interviewers a moment later. "I've never met her before."

sorry for the source

"Hihihi, hahaha, somebody touched his butt....hihiahahhiahhihahaha...!"

If it would have been the other way around, another mans life would have been destroyed!
So much about double standards and the witchhunt against men!

Grabbing a butt is very different for a woman than a man. Because men don't live in a rape culture where unwanted sexual contact can and often does escalate to rape.

So yes, it's very different. Even though it might look the same.

Wow, some of the hypocrisy here is stunning!! Just stunning!

This subject, and so many others like it lately!

It's okay if (insert - race, gender, political affiliation) do it, but it's categorically WRONG and ILLEGAL if (insert - other race, gender, political affiliation) do the exact same thing.

This mentality just thoroughly disgusts me!

If it's illegal or morally wrong, then it's illegal and morally wrong for ANYONE to do it!!

AND, if it is acceptable for one group to do it, and illegal for another group to the same damn thing...then maybe we should re-examine the law or moral standard itself.

George Takei is a very politically active icon in LGBT/progressive circles. It's sad that allegations like this have come to light, but no matter who he is and what good over the years he's done -- sexual misconduct is wrong.

I'll be watching to see if any corroborating evidence surfaces and other potential witnesses/victims step forward. I can't defend George here. I sincerely hope the allegations turn out to be false. If not, I'd hope George does the right thing and takes responsibility for his past actions; accepting whatever fallout that comes.

I guess that's the fundemental difference between some of us. I can just as easily throw a powerful progressive icon under the bus as a conservative politician. I'm not going to compromise the integrity of my morals simply because I "like" someone, or the politics they champion. Wrong is wrong, and it doesn't matter who the accused is.

I really don't want to be "that guy" with a tasteless comment, and against my better judgement, I'm just going to say it....

I read through this entire thread and didn't see one joke about SULU getting accused for trying to "boldly go where no man's gone before"
