Unrecoverable data? Also, put down my dog.

Ok tried 3 times no charm.

Tried since yesterday to start a thread on my dog i lost on Halloween to cancer. Every time i hit post...

I can relate.

I am so sorry Bigburgh.. I recently had the same experience.. we lost our golden retriever mix to cancer a little over a week ago. Then one of our cats to kidney failure few days ago.. this month has been awful for quite a few of us it seems

The number of characters permitted in an ATS post is 7413, including spaces- used to be 7500, but software changes seem to have tweaked it down. I know that from long experience of writing long threads.
However, if you try to go over that limit, all that happens as far as I know (not that I've tried it lately) is that you can't type any more characters. The screen refuses to accept them. If you paste in something longer, the screen display stops at the 7413 and does not show any more.
If you experience a POOF there may be some other cause.

Sad remember when our Husky was diagnosed with cancer,when he died his brother next door started dog cry

On the upside the dog probably does not even know it is dead, and is probably existing in some other form.
