Might be a really basic and stupid question so forgive me but do Vegas hotels have cleaners? If he checked in a few days before would cleaners not have gone in the room to make the beds and give clean towels? If so, surely they would have noticed 33 guns laying around?

on michael riverios show i heard today the cleaners infact the day befor saw nothing of the 23 guns

Where is this from?

Looks like one of those awful, crap ridden Chan boards to me.

Boat load of salt with that, if you ask me.

While I am not averse to accepting good data from any source, I would be very careful about 4Chan if I were you. Factions within that culture are the ones who started the "Hes a lefty loony" conspiracy, and spread it everywhere. I would be very surprised if some of the mouthpieces around here, peddling that particular line, did not either get it from there, or are part of the effort to distribute false information as far and wide as they can.

I used a disclaimer at the top. The information fits, however there are very little facts to back it up.

Yep. From 4chan, which means it's most definitely true, because that's the go-to place when you have inside information.

Here is a vantage point of some people in a bus stop in front of the Hotel away from all the carnage, they talk about seeing and hearing the glass being smashed out, with clear sound of the gun shots, after all the auto firing, oddly i heard a single gun shot then silence and thought this was the one that he use on himself or someone else shot him, but a short time after that there is another single shot?

A bus for some reason is allowed into that zone passed police and they get on, telling the bus driver there is a shooter and telling the people not to get off.

The separate shots later may have been the shooter firing through the door when he shot the security guard.

Well...some of the information fits.

But some of it... Some of it relates to things we have absolutely no information on, and for what its worth, I could probably write something that fits half a story, but throws it in a totally different direction too! I used to do that sort of thing at school during English classes.

Anyone familiar with your postings knows you could. Even if full on fiction, it would still make more sense than the tales that are being spun through the media.

The media is selling news. While there are no actual new news or information available, all they have to offer is wild theories, if's and but's.

Kinda reminds me of this forum I often visit.

Quite possibly BG, i`ve got no experience or knowledge with these type of weapons, but there was a type of high powered weapon in the pic through the blown door with an evidence number 19 if I remember rightly, are those type of weapons able to single shot easily? as I would think he used it or similar to spray 200 odd rounds down the hallway.

ETA rifle at 22 sec mark.

So all seems like confusion. Kind of confirms the strobe light is what cops thought was muzzle fire just like everyone watching the video thought. Seems like nobody could see muzzle flash from the 32 floor.

I keep reading that a pro would stand back from the window. Is that true gun knowledgeable out there? Do you think it's possible for a person or persons firing from the 32 floor at night ...all those rounds...could be far enough back from the window so no muzzle flash could be seen while still hitting all those targets? Is it even possible?

He had 23 weapons in the room. They have said that a number of them were modified (with bump fire stocks). I suppose that it would be probable that he had a rifle that was an unmodified semiautomatic. You can pull single shots off with the bump fire, too. Bump fire stocks typically have a latch that can be positioned to make the bump fire option non operative.

This is an interesting video. Clearly 2 single shot near the end of shooting. I kept listening to hear the 2 explosions of the door breach people did report hearing it outside. Also wondering which shots were were fired inside the sheriff reported 200 plus rounds were shot inside. Maybe the last burst? Maybe the breach blows happened once these ppl were on the bus and they couldn't hear. The single gun shot would make sense in the publicized timeline if he shot himself...it sounds more like someone shot him...twice. There was quite a time lapse after shots stopped till these kids got on the bus with no sound of room breach. That also fits the timeline. Plenty of time for someone to exit.

What bothers me, well just right now because there's lots that bothers me in the big picture, is the fact the sheriff said the door was ajar which promoted the first leo to check that room. Would they breach a door that was ajar? Maybe if they were worried about live suspects still inside?

100% possible.

The term "fish in a barrel" is accurate and literal in this situation.

The concentration of people, and his high angle position meant that people were going to die even if he closed his eyes.

Reading descriptions of the events from witnesses, it sounds like the shooter started the encounter pretending to be a marksman. Choosing targets, taking aim, and firing. This would be consistent with statements from so many that the "pops' were rhythmic and seemed timed.

At some point the "pops" just became sporadic and more frequent.

Trying to imagine the scenario from the shooters perspective, I've taken time and energy and resources to plan and prepare and my wrath is going to rain down on my victims like the fist of an angry god.

I get into my "sniper" position and I'm looking through my scope and I release my justified and glorious hatred on a crowd.
And the lady that I pulled the trigger on didn't die instantly. In fact, she is still dancing her stupid dance to the stupid song that is playing..But a man 3 spaces ahead of her, and 2 spaces to her left is holding his chest and bending over. I can see this through my scope....Now he's collapsed and people are helping him...
Did I miss?
Did I miss that badly?
Better try again.
Scope, Aim Shoot...someone falls down but not my target....
Better try again.
Scope, Aim Shoot...someone falls down but not my target....
Better try again.
Scope, Aim Shoot...someone falls down but not my target....Well I suck at this...

BUT...even when I miss, I hit someone and now the crowd is starting to look scared.
Aw hell...I can just start firing into that crowd and hit people.
Might as well.

Images in this thread about the weapons the shooter used, show a lack of knowledge and more a slant towards "tacticool" weapons that are a pretty lackluster collection of after market parts, slapped on to unremarkable weapons.

Muzzle flash like all natural light is subject to the inverse square law. Depending on the strength of the surrounding lights and the lights NEAR to a camera lens when the picture is taken a muzzle flash can be invisible in the atmospheric wash of brighter lights.

It's why pictures of earth, from the moon, show no stars in the background. The brightness of the light bouncing off the earth, blind out the more faint light of the stars. And similarly when you take pictures of the moon from earth without the proper exposure settings. You can end up with pictures of a bright moon in a black sky.

Yes this is exactly what the ex CIA guy on CNN said. Forget his name but he was counter terror and is in a recentish documentary about homegrown terror. If ISIS type mentality he would haven wanted to hurt cops taking him down and have them kill him to become a martyr. If he did shoot himself that in itself is a flag to say he wasn't making a martyr of himself.

Do you think it's possible he was a pasty who in fact didn't do the shooting and was left as a diversion?

I would question whether anyone down on the strip heard the sound of the suicide round.
If he had a .38 Special revolver in his mouth when he pulled the trigger, away from the windows, it probably would have been difficult to hear over the screams that were happening down on the ground.
