I'm Confused about Alt Right

I'm not sure how to use it.
I always use Command instead of Alt or Control?
Is Alt a totally PC thing?

Personally, I'm a Ctrl-Mousewheel Forward Roll.

It usually use it when I think I read something really really stupid and have to zoom in to confirm said stupidity.

Alt F4 is the key you become to triggered.
