Going through the posts in the Political Conspiracy, War on Terror, Current Events and even a few of the other fora I find many threads that should be on PTS. Wasn't that the purpose of PTS, to keep the politics out of ATS (and keep everyone happy)?

I understand why people don't make new topics there - people don't pay as much attention to it. If we do start making interesting topics there they will though!

And if no one else notices this beat me with a chair.

I find that a lot of threads on PTS put up to start liberal/consertive bashing rather then a debate based on merits. There are a few gems that can found but if you are new to the forum you might avoid PTS in favour of ATS.

Well let's face it. Ever since the 2004 elections, politics have been kind of dead. The Condi speech today should spark some more interest.

Otherwise, long live PTS. I still think Deny Tricks would have been a better slogan.

I'm not saying that no one is discussing politics - obviously that was going to die down after the election. I'm saying there's a lot of PTS topics being posted on ATS. And how often do we see people yelling about something getting posted in the wrong place?

It'll take off again when Blair calls the next UK General Election (with lots and lost of Blair-bashing from the Pisky of course
)

Yeah, on any given day one could seriously move half of the more politically driven War on Terror posts, 90% of the political conspiracy posts, and a big chunk of Other Current Events posts to PTS.

But
(there's always a but) to which forum? It's much harder to pick someone's political slant for them (liberal, conservative, socialist, etc) than if they'd just do it themsleves.
Some forums are neutral though, of course.

It would be nice though if people starting using the PTS board more, and don't feel infringed upon when an ATS thread gets moved there.

One man's conspiracy is always another man's propaganda.

Please feel free to take him off our hands - but wait until I get back to the UK - I'm currently in Oregon.

What the hell are we supposed to do with him? What if he and Donald Rumsfeld fell in love and had kids? We couldn't risk that!

Too many fanatics that are blind, deaf and dumb to all other viewpoints besides theirs. I stop by every once in a while, but don't bother putting a fresh pot of coffee on for me.

I have recently policed the Current Events forum for material that belonged in PTS, it and WOT forum both are full of PTS threads.

WE (Mods) need to stay on top of both of these forums till people get used to using the PTS forum

What I think would be a boon to posts on both PTS and BTS is to migrate your login to the other site directly from links. Using cookies or whatever. That way you could see the posts, post replies all from ONE login. If this is the way its supposed to work then I guess ignore this posts. Cuz Whenever I go to BTS or PTS It tells me I have to login again and pops up about a thousand pop ups.

Do you have cookies enabled on your computer? My guess is that you don't so it asks for you to login every time.

Nope thats not it. I have cookies enabled. I go days opening and closing IE without having to log back into ATS. Its just when switching from ATS to BTS and PTS.

I was just thinking the same thing while feeling sorry The Libra who started an interesting thread but didn’t get the response i think he may have been looking for, which he probably would have done had the thread remained in ATS where there is a greater diversity of members.

And although its sounds sad to say, i think the thought of having to log in all over again [oh the hardship] is just to much for some members, where as if they could just skip that bit then it might improve responses.

Just a thought.
