I'm guessing the difference here has to do with how these businesses are setup though.

One kind of Private business is the kind known as Public Accommodations. Which is the kind of place that's open to everyone in the general public.

Another kind is a members only where it's open to the public but you must be a member to use their services.

Both are still private but operate under different rules.

Publc Accommodation places serve everyone the same. Whereas Members only obviously you have to be a member first. So if they don't want someone as a member they don't have to accept them I guess.

Also, Political Lean or party aren't protected classes either. Whereas in some places Sexual orientation is. So basically Left or Right politically isn't a protected class like LGBT, or Race or whatever.

But who says Cops and Military can't be Left???

I guess it shows the difference between the Left and SJWs who are so ready to mobilize, boycott, protest and stand up to fight for what they believe in and the Right who sit back and accept having their views discriminated against

It's mainly because mostly we still believe in tolerance. We're such suckers!

The bakery was in a state that had/has a state law against discriminating against LGBT.

They broke a state law.

If there is no such law, you can't break it.

In my past retail operations, I paid the rent, the insurance, the workmans comp, county and city permits, TAXES, all the bills and salary's for my help.

That is to say it's my business and I don't need anyone telling me how to operate it or who to serve. Don't even walk in my place of business if you are wearing brown shoes.

BTW....I don't need a reason. Dem's de rules...abide or GTFO.

As far as I know...

Police Officers and Military are not a protected class (i.e. Sexuality, gender or race)...
& personally I don't think they should be either.

But all I know is that when a crime happens in the vicinity of this Gym, I'd expect a delayed reaction from the Law.

What will happen when a gay, black, transsexual Cop comes in to get a membership is beyond me though...
That'd be interesting.

Pretty sad that we protect fruitcakes and sickos, but not the heroes that protect and defend us. I think we have our priorities screwed up in this country.

Oh ... so some animals are more protected than others?

We are in the society of some animals being more equal than others then.

Glad you made that clear for us.

Your sentiments are perfect examples of why those protections are granted.

Yep. White people used to be more equal than black people. Men used to be more equal than women.

I wish more leftist anti-freedom douche-nozzles would advertise that way.

That way I would know where not to spend my money.

It's a free speech issue.

The gym can say whatever they want, as far as I'm concerned.

Like any business run by racists.

I wish they'd advertise as well.

They wouldn't get any of my money either.

That's kind of where I've landed on the issue. I mean, in terms of places with religious freedom laws. I'd prefer to be turned away than have some hillbilly's ejaculate in my burrito.

See?

Just LOOK at all the benefits of having more freedom rather than less.

It was and then we had the Civil Rights movement and the purported purpose of that was to correct it and make us all "equal under the law," but now you all admit we don't exist that way and that some are now free to take their vengeance legally and you all support that?

That's more or less Annee's attitude. Is it yours as well now?

So much for all the high-minded rhetoric. If that's the way you all are going to play, then eff equality period. I am done with even trying. Screw you guys.

Your rant makes no sense. "We don't exist"? Who is this "we"?
Inequality is the reason for "protected classes". If people would just treat everyone equally we wouldn't need "protected classes" in the first place.

I understand that but why do we need laws to tell us to behave like civilized beings. Unless, people don't know what good behaviour is anymore.
